Strong Compostable Bags 3 Gallon Certified Biodegradable Kitchen Scrap Trash Food Waste (Pack of 100)

I just opened and used my first bag from my order. The first thing I noticed is that these bags are large enough to fit the compost bucket I keep under the sink in my kitchen. Ill-fitting bags has been my major complaint about other compostable bags I've been buying. I've been on a search for bags that will fit my compost bucket. When the bucket is full, I then empty it into a compost pile. Since I just lined the bucket with this new bag, I don't know how it will hold up until I'm ready to empty the bucket. Some compostable bags fall apart in the bucket before I empty it and that defeats the purpose of having a bag in the bucket to keep it relatively clean. I'll update this review when I next empty the bucket and evaluate how well the bag has held together.UPDATE: This is a sturdy bag! It held together until it was full AND I could lift it out of the compost bucket and put it in the compost pile without it falling apart. And it seems to be composting well in the pile along with the bio materiel. I've had a lot of trouble finding a bag that would stay intact while in the bucket but still decompose in the pile. This bag is the one I've been looking for! I highly recommend it based on my experience with it!

Our city composts so I've been a good citizen and use compostable bags for our kitchen tabletop container. The only brand available where I live, though, is really flimsy--and not cheap). The seams were always bursting--and composting is gross enough as it is. So I tried this Biopost brand out and was glad it passed the test...not sure if they cost a little more, but they are so solid it's worth it. A keeper for sure.

These bags are great. I just used up my last set of them so I want to purchase some more. They are stronger than the green compostable bags you buy at supermarkets & other places, but they can leak. I take the bin out with me to the green recycle bin when emptying. The green OTC bags always leaked, these are much stronger than that. Not sure you can purchase a leak-proof compostable bag but until that arrives on amazon these are the best! Mostly these DON’T leak but take your small compost bin outside to the big recycling bin just in case!

I'm using them for scooping cat litter, and they're perfect! Good size too. I'm still not sure about using them with food scraps & throwing the whole thing in our compost bin, but I'm so particular about keeping chemicals out of my garden soil.

The Strong Compostable Bags are just what I was looking for to use with our compost and, also, for cleaning our litter pan for kitty. They open easily and are (as the name implies) strong. I used to feel so bad throwing plastic bags into the trash daily after cleaning the litter pan. Although in my city I can not put cat waste into the compost, I feel more ecologically responsible putting something compostable into the landfill.

These are by far the best biodegradable food bags that I've tried. I would definitely by them again - no more leaks when I'm taking the compost out!

For each one of these bags i use successfully, i lose 2-3 that tear along a fold when i'm just trying to open the bag to put it in the compost can. Then i need to double bag to survive the walk down the stairs to the big compost bin. Definitely weaker than henkther brands i've used in the past. Weirdly, the material seems stronger, but it tears all the time.

Bags are much sturdier than what I had been using since our city started weekly compostable pick-up. I spent way too much time re-bagging and cleaning the bin, which made participation a real chore. These bags are still easy to puncture (fair enough), but they don't start to decompose as soon as food scraps get loaded. Sturdy bags are an essential component to making food scrap composting part of the daily routine.

i bought the wrong size bag for my bin so i just bought a smaller bin
