I do have some commode liners for both home and camp use, however, they are simple liners. The HytiCare brand has an absorbent pad instead of the powder that will “capture” any liquids. These are much easier and less messy to use than the powder version. The tie handles made them easy to tie and dispose in the garbage. There’s a cautionary not that warns against disposal in one’s toilet, for obvious reasons.These fit nicely in a standard medical commode, the type that’s shown on the box. I do have a camping toilet and they would work equally well on those. I simply took the HytiCare and put it in the commode. These are latex-free and are on a roll. They are a bit pricey for home use, but depending on one’s circumstances, might be worth investing in.

Very convenient

Basically, these are like a roll of regular drawstring trash bags but a little smaller in size that can fit onto a typical medical commode bucket easily. The main and most important difference here is that a pad or sheet of medical absorbent is placed inside each bag individually, so it should be ready to use after tearing off along the perforated line from the roll. These pads are not that thick really, somewhat thin but when exposed to water, it's like a vacuum :) that will suck up the surrounding water very quickly. I did a test and cut off a small piece of this pad and placed it in a small container with 5x the amount of water to the size of the cut-off piece. I was amazed at how fast it absorbs water around it and turns into a gel-like material as shown in the attached photos. The pad itself expanded up to at least 5x thicker in the process like a sponge cake :). It really works! Overall, the bags are just like your normal plastic trash bags quality, with no leaks with a drawstring to close but the absorbent pads are what I am most impressed with, very good liquid absorbent. Great for road trips as well or outdoor activities like campings.
