Works well
Works great for scooping up daphnia or small fry. It is very small, so make sure to check the dimensions (just in case you are wanting something larger).

Good size for a beta
I have a 2 gallon tank with a beta and this is the perfect size for catching him. It is also fine enough to pull out most floaters.

Perfect to fish the cat hair out of their drinking fountain
I have 4 animals drinking out of 1 fountain and the cat leaves hair every time he drinks. So I just wanted a small mess strainer to grab out the fur. This works perfect. You can see how small it is next to a US quarter. My fountain doesn’t have a filter.

A little too fine of mesh. Probably great for catching your little fish.
I bought this to clear the turtle poop and debris off the sand in my turtles aquarium. The mesh is just a little too fine because instead of the water going right through it and it filtering the sand out, it holds the sand and water won't filter as quickly. Once you have something in the net if you try to get other things, it's going to come out and you end up chasing everything and not being able to hold on to anything. So, you'll have to scoop one thing up, empty it out, scoop another thing up, empty it out, etc and, can't sift through the sand with it. My original net is too large and not quite fine enough, but this one isn't exactly working the way I'd hoped, either

Great if you need a very small net.
This net is very small. Make sure you check the dimensions. It worked for me, because I needed a very small net to clean debris from a small water fountain.

For very tiny fish or ?
My guy likes to do pool walks with me daily. He gets bored so makes a game of finding all the bees and bugs and insects that fall into the water; he saves the live ones. He was using his hands to catch the critters, but this net I got him is much better. It would not be useful for big fish at all, but is meant to be used for small and tiny fish. The mesh is tightly woven so it does not damage the fish (or bees).

Works great for me- I use it to catch daphnia
Keep in mind it's a small net for small things. Works great for me- I use it to catch daphnia, and they all get caught. Feels like it'll last.
