XtremPro X1-1 High Performance USB DAC Headphone Amp OTG Amplifier (1 Piece)

My Alienware m17 gaming laptop has unexpectedly poor audio quality especially when using my premium in-ear headphones. I purchased this DAC to improve it moderately while keeping price low since I already went over budget with my recent laptop purchase. I didn't expect the difference to be a profound improvement. I further went into settings to increase resolution from what I could get previously to this devices max at 24-Bit/192Hz. An even fuller pure sound experience. For the price point, this was more than I expected and couldn't be happier with the purchase.

Creo que la audiofilia está en una etapa en la que los dispositivos como los DAC's y amps poseen un rendimiento sorprendente por precios muy reducidos, la electrónica de estado sólido ha avanzado demasiado y este aparato es el ejemplo.Aunque seguramente otros amps de escritorio poseen un rendimiento eléctrico/electrónico superior, esto muchas veces no afecta en las frecuencias audibles.Actualmente uso el Xtrempro con unos senn 660 s y a pesar de que estos audífonos tienen alta sensibilidad y 150ohms, logré alcanzar un volumen de sonido mayor al que tenía con un iPad y una pc sin tener distorsión. De lo mejorcito que podrás encontrar en relación calidad/precio.

Great product for the price. Sound is clear and crisp coming through to my HD600s. Pretty neutral sound signature as far as I can tell but I could be wrong. I feel like the mids could be enhanced more maybe. But this is far better than a direct AUX connection to my laptop or PC.I'm giving this 4 stars because when I have this plugged into any USB port on my desktop that isn't directly linked to the motherboard, like ports on my monitor or through a USB hub, I get occasional interference that comes through as a very loud dialup tone/digital-sounding crackle. But connected to the front ports on my desktop it seems to have no issues. Driver have been updated multiple times. Not sure why, but something to consider if you like having the headphones connected to something on your desk.

Look, don't expect miracles. It works really well for what it is, and that's a low cost DAC that cleans up and mildly enhances your tunes. I got cleaner highs and lows that were slightly boosted. Do I recommend it? Definitely. Will it blow you away with its performance? Probably not, but for the price, it's a really good deal. By the way, I don't know what's normal, but mine gets really warm; also, get some adapters to plug into your devices as it's a USB-A plug.

What an improvement on analog/wired headphones. Increases volume, immersion and bass feel.
