I bought this as a memorial for my daughter and son-in-law, who, in February, lost a baby boy at 18 weeks into their IVF pregnancy. I wanted some way to keep the memory of their son alive, and what better way than to have his birthstone in the shape of a heart to let them know, he will never be forgotten.This piece was exquisite! I bought this stone specifically for the purpose of placing my wife's engagement ring on it for when I gave it to her. I got the 2 inch AA color stone, which is beautiful. The only problem I had (which was a big problem for me due to what I purchased it for) was the stone would not stay sitting up in the stand that is provided with it. Overall, great stone quality.

Absolutely gorgeous piece! The heart shape with cut perfectly. I am thrilled with it. I purchased this as a birthday gift last month for my best friend, since Amethyst is the birthstone for February. I chose the #2 color. Would definitely recommend.
