My package came with the ream of paper sealed in plastic, which helps protect it from moisture. My package was popped open, but that was expected.Strathmore packaging pops open when a ream of paper is bounced a bit, or twisted. It's quite easy to damage the wrapping on a ream of their paper. Don't put too much stock in the reviews that are alarmed by the package being opened. It's quite normal.

This is creamy white.

Beautiful and classy paper for business or p r sonar use. Too nice for everyday printing. Savor it. Has a wonderful feel.

If count matters to you, it is less than 430 papers! while it is advertised as 500 papers.

I handwrite letters to friends and family with a fountain pen. This paper does not bleed or "spread" the ink as you write. I printed my own letterhead on it with WordPerfect, and it looks, and performs great. Found and bought some matching #10 envelopes too.

I ordered this paper from the end tab on a previous ream of paper, same product number, name, weight, etc. but the paper that arrived was a totally different color from orders from different sellers. I was advised by another stationer that Mokawk, who owns Strathmore, is changing their product line, so perhaps they changed the "whiteness" of their paper as well. I had to send the paper back for a refund (less UPS charges, of course) and explain my "mistake" to my employer.
