These chair wheels performed fairly well but did not stand up to daily use. I use these exclusively on a hard PC chair mat. I noticed right away that the wheels didn't rotate on the stems easily. The rubber wheels added enough friction with the mat cause significant torque. Over time, that torque fatigued the un-adjustable fasteners holding the caster wheels to the stems. The subsequent loosening created enough space for the bearings to start escaping their tracks as falling out. Over four years, the cost comes out to about $7 per year. Not bad, but I was hoping for at least five years' life out of these "heavy duty" caster wheel. BTW - I weigh less than 200 lbs, so I don't think my weight overstressed the wheels.

These are self-evidently very durable... far superior to those stupid plastic things that come stock in most rolling office chairs, even expensive ones. I am a large weight-liftin' kind of dude, and I tend to break those. These wheels, by contrast, hold up well.They work well on hard surface, or mild carpet. I cannot say if they do on deep carpet... haven't tried.There are only two small drawbacks... they WILL make your chair ride about an inch higher. However, I do not see a reasonable way they could have designed around this, so not a defect. Just be warned.Second, the amazon page doesn't seem to have exact stem dimensions... these is more than one standard size. Fortunately mine fit, but they should probably be specific.

These are working GREAT on our wooden floor. so easy to move around on the floor.UPDATE: We have had these wheels since 2017 and WE LOVE THEM! I have never had a dirty spot or any marks on my oak floor. We are so pleased that we plan to buy two more sets for our basement offices. I purchased the gray set the first time around and will do the same this time.Update 2: Purchased 1 pr. in 2017 and & second pair in 2020 for a second chair Both do not mark up my Oak floors at ALL! Not good on carpet but can't say enough about how well we like these rolls

I had a small issue with one of the wheels when I first got them, and their response to my question was both fast and amazing. Their customer service was STELLAR, and left me very satisfied with the product and the company. My experience with them left me impressed, and, most importantly, I love the wheels. They look amazing on my polished aluminum Herman Miller Aero, and feel better than I had hoped. My studio has old industrial hardwood floors that are pretty rough. These wheels handle it with no problem. That’s what I needed them for, and the work!

Updated 10/26/16 SunnieDog reached out and customer service made the situation right. I have a OfficeMax/Depot WorkPro series chair and the base, it turns out, does not use any standard stem.Wheels would have been great, but do not fit my chair. Page states returns and perfect universal fit , no questions. Went to return and shipping is 15 bucks. so on a 26 buck item, i only get 10 back. NOT WORTH IT. Remove the wheels from your chair before ordering as you will end up getting stuck with item that can't be used. Oh well, BUYER BEWARE!

I have a very bad back and needed to upgrade my office chair to a lumbar-support model. Having just refloored my office with a wood-laminate product, I was advised to make sure my new chair's casters were rubber-wheeled to prevent scoring of the laminate. My new chair came with plastic casters, which I swapped out for SunnieDogs. The swap took about 90 seconds and I've been flying around my space like a jet jacket. Bravo!!

my computer desk and chair are on carpet. my chair is old so I was going to just replace the chair and during my search I found these roller blade wheels. the SunnieDogs were the best price so I ordered a set. no problem rolling around and my chair sit about an inch higher than it used to with the factory wheels. really nice.

These seemed to be well made. They added a bit too much height for my office chair, though. I am 5'8" and my chair does not go down far enough as it is. These wheels added about an inch in height. I hated to return them because they are cool.

I was excited to receive these casters. They were so clean looking and raised me up a little higher which would be a plus for me. However your description and some of your reviews stated that they were good for use on carpet. Our carpet is a burber so it doesn't have a high pile for the casters to plow through. However, after my chair sits on the carpet (unoccupied) for any length of time, the casters have created their own little groove in the carpet. When you sit down and try to move the chair closer to the desk, it's near impossible to move the chair forward. You have to get up and manually move it out of the grooves so you can move the chair. I'm afraid I'm going to have to purchase one of those unsightly plastic mats to put under my chair. So, if you want a caster to roll on bare floors only, then these will do fine. But if you are dealing with a carpet, forget about getting these ones.Today I packaged them up and will return them tomorrow.

This is my favourite purchase this year. They make my chair glide so smooth. And they don’t scare my hardwood floor.
