I have been using a tea infuser for past 4 years - which proved to be sturdy and good - but the welding of the head to the handle gave way a few weeks back. Was looking for a good replacement. Have tried a few other ones - and all have proved bad in quality and reliability - the welded joint giving way in a few weeks.This one is looking good after a first couple of uses. The two hemispheres of the head close well in alignment without the gap. The silicone-rubber grips greatly improves the handling for opening and closing - particularly for seniors like me.The weak point of all these types of infusers is the WELDED JOINT of the strainer head to the handle. The sturdiness of this one, remains to be seen in the months and years ahead. Will update this review after 4 - 6 months of use.UPDATE on 17may2022 - after intermittent use - maybe over 20 times now - the infuser is still in good shape and looking good. Overall good value for money

Good product. Tiny broken leaf may come out sometimes if you start stirring immediately but it's easy to operate. Recommend to buy.

I had ordered another tea strainer prior to this and was not satisfied with the quality of the product. This, on the other hand, is very sturdy and feels like it's made from quality materials. The rubber grips add a lot of comfort to it. Totally worth it.

Tea leaves escape into the water while using for green tea. Purpose not solved by using this. Spring lost its sturdiness after 7-8 uses. What's the point in buying for usage only for 7-8 uses?
