Craftsman 230-Piece Mechanics Tool Set, 50230, Silver, 1 Set

Great beginner set. So close to perfect, I'd rate this 4.5 stars if I could but I'm rounding it to 5. The bad first. Limited extensions. Not a big deal, more are like $10. No angle universal joint adapters. Also cheap to add on. Lack of wrenches, Only 3 imperial and 3 metric wrenches. However the big minus here is the absolute lack of organization for the allen keys. It comes with I believe 40 allen keys, which is useful but they come in plastic bags. Come on Craftsman. I don't want to dig through a bag looking for a 4mm allen key for five minutes. Lastly, I wish there was a smaller screwdriver or angle adapter as the screwdriver is a little big for hard to reach areas. However, don't let the bad fool you - the only reason there are so many bad things is because there are so many things in this kit to critique. The sockets and wrenches are great. There are dozens of bits for the screwdriver, and some of them seem to fit JIS screws without destroying them which is a huge plus. The carry case is super convenient. And lastly, the price is cheap for all you get. Would definitely recommend for beginning mechanics or someone who wants to start building a tool set. This is not complete, but a very very good start.

A great tool set to have.

This was a great set to have. I had one similar that seem to have all the pieces I ever needed. Well to the best of my capable ability to perform mechanic work on my vehicle. This one is missing those pieces, but gives you more. What makes more of this set is the small allen keys that are joined into the set. I don't remember needing so many. I have used them though. Would I give someone this box as a gift? I would for sure say it is perfect but it misses my needs by a few pieces. Would I buy it again? Yes, for the price you cant beat it. I waited to write a this review. I have now had this set since 2018 it is now 2021. I write this review in the stand point of durability. I have used this set enough to pay for itself. I like to do my own work on my vehicles.

Its craftsman hand tools. Delivery was a pain, but id rather go pick it up than let a porch pirate get it.

Most of the tools you need, with craftsman quality guarantee. Great for a starter mechanic. Pros: 1/4 3/8 1/2 inch drive wrenches all in one package 40x Hex Keys - 20 standard 20 metric Sturdy case to keep tools inside. Full screwdriver set Cons: Not at all a full set of tools - Only 6 box wrenches means that you will be seeking a box wrench set soon. Will be looking into the Gear-Wrench Ratcheting set soon. No pliers. At least 1 set of standard pliers would have been a great addition, and now I have to buy another set of tools. For the price, would have liked that. All in all a good set of starter tools, and with the craftsman guarantee, you know you will always be able to rely on this set. Would recommend.

I consider Craftsman tools the best ever made. Great value and if one breaks Craftsman will replace it.

Buen producto, recomendable

Esta todo completo, pero para mi parecer no me gusto el modo en que lo enviaron, es decir el envalaje y por ello creo que el estuche llegó un poco rayado, ya se que es para el trabajo y no para exivicion, nin envargo pague por un articulo nuevo. Además llego con una hoja pegada del SAT el cual desconozco la razón y eso me causa duda si se me cobro un impuesto o algo parecido.
