It's advertised as Kaftan Thobe Hooded but it does not have a hood.I was looking for a simple Kaftan without hood.I scanned through the photos many times and finally decided to take a chance on the item.It took a while for the delivery, but that was okay.I was delighted that it does not have a hood.I bought M size and the minute I received it, I tossed it into the washing machine. Tried it on afterwards and it fits perfectly.The material feels nice on the skin, a light cotton/polyester mix.For the fabric used, the seller needs to lower the price.Also change the advert to "without hood".

5'11" 210 mostly gut. Ordered xxl because I wanted a loose fit around my tummy. Washed and dried 2 times without much shrinking. Still fits just right. Seams well sewn. Couldn't be more pleased.

Kaftan that I received looks different: buttons are different, pockets are much smaller etc. It's OK but not good. I guess they use pics from other products. If you search for a "kaftan" here on Amazon you'll see many different sellers sell similar items with almost identical pics. It's a bad trend when an item doesn't match its pics. If only I knew where they borrowed pics and where to get those products pictured on these product photos. PS: I ordered XL because something told me it's a gamble to get the right size. Normally I wear Large items and in rare cases I wear Medium.

My goal was to gift my husband with a loose, light weight caftan thinking he would be more comfortable in the hot weather. When it arrived I noted that the fabric was as stated 'light-weight linen/cotton' The color I chose for him was a light gray which looked very nice. No hanging strings or pulls in the light weight fabric and the seams were sewn down nice. Just the size. I chose the XXL but tight in shoulders and through middle. He's a big guy and I selected that size because it was the biggest . I'll have to return it, darn.

The side slits nearly defeat the purpose of this garment. And, maybe it's just me, but it doesn't feel like natural cotton.I need this thobe in a warmer fabric , perhaps linen, wool or even synthetic.

Fit as expected and definitely is the look I was going for. The. Material is a tad stiff/scratchy but not uncomfortable. I am hoping this will improve with a few washes.
