A different perspective on roles
Eugenia Cheng guides us towards a new perspective on gender. Using her mathematical skills of precise imaginative description, she proposes an alternative to male and female as behavior categories. Congressive, towards the group and ingressive, towards the self.Neither is better than the other, but our society is set up to favor ingressive behavior even in non-competitive activities such as math and Art.Highly recommend for those interested in new ways of thinking about timely problems.

Very insightful
Changed the way I think about gender

Interesting angle on gender socialisation
A new angle on gender difference using mathematical models but one that I felt was ultimately a one principle application that didn't merit a whole book

Reading someone's thought experiment
This was a really interesting premise, but the author may have benefited from a stronger editor. Reading this felt like trying to read the notes from two people's thought exercise; lots of side track thoughts that were only tangentially related. I felt like this would have been an amazing long form essay, but it didn't really translate well into this book.
