Great to learn Raspberry PI
This is a great piece of kit. The touch screen is responsive but needs calibrating( must learn how to do it). Assembly was realativly easy taking only about 10 minutes, just needs a Raspberry PI 4. As it runs a special version of Linux you need to create a memory card but that is really easy using the raspberrypi burning software. So far I am really happy with this tablet. The only down side I have found is the noisy fan. The battery life is not the best but it is adiquate to last for most out and about jobs. I use an external keyboard but the on screen is fine.

Quite possibly the best invention ever
I love it. Only slight critisism is the charger - shame not to make it 5v usb-c rather than need to carry a brick around, which is a shame. Something to consider for next iteration? Otherwise it's great!

Pretty cool with a few downside
pros- no more having a device that is de-funked after being abandoned for pursuit of profit.- the body and screen are well made and solid.- buttons for volume and brightness feel pretty good, should last.- screen is sharp and pretty decentCons- The mini jack out is only outputting one a single side.- The usb inputs are affected by the power input; meaning it will strike keys when none are struck.- So far I've not gotten the battery % to be displayed by ubuntu and the raspberry pi bulldog.- the power brick lead is a bit short for my liking. The mini jack and wired keyboard can be fixed by using bluetooth, but for the price I don't expect to have these issues especially when you are paying a pretty penny for a reshelled raspberry pi that is actually taking away basic functions.Still there's none like it on the market but hopefully over time this type of product will fight back against current terrible consumer trends.

excellent touch screen with some quirks but overall a great package for your Pi projects
This will solve all the Pi wiring problems, like the a battery backup. Does have quirks on screen rotation. Battery will run down fairly quickly but this is meant for Pi projects and for that purpose the bundled cables and ease of assembly is well worth the price.

The perfect raspberry pi tablet kit
The media could not be loaded. SunFounder's RasPad 3.0 is essentially a "build your own tablet kit", powered by a Raspberry pi 4 SBC. The RasPad is easy to assemble, with everything except the Raspberry pi 4 itself included in the kit - even down to the screwdriver. The build only takes around 20-30 minutes to anyone who has undertaken anything similar before and certainly under a hour for someone doing it for the first time - the included instructions are incredibly visual and easy to follow and the latest up to date version can be found online: https://docs.raspad.com/en/latest/install_the_os.htmlThe Raspad 3.0 has a 10.1 insh IPS touchscreen LCD monitor with a max resolution of 1280x800. The screen supports 10-finger touch for the OS builds that support it, stereo speakers which are suprisingly detailed and powerful, a six-axis acceleration sensor which rotates the screens (in OS builds that support it!) and clever IO - Full ethernetm HDMI, audio out and USB's are all available from the outside shell and you can expand the IO by using the Pi 4's expansion slot, wiring it up to the outside of the shell - so it makes the RasPad 3.0 an ideal companion or test bed for other Raspberry pi 4 builds.I was really impressed with the build quality of the RasPad - it doesn't feel like any corners have been cut. The speakers, screen, io all immediately impressed me. Everything feels like it's in the right place, the design is clever and the internals are all spaced. The Raspberry pi 4 does get hot under certain loads, so the included heatsinks and fan will certainly help and although i've felt the Raspad 3.0 get hot after a few hours of usage but never uncomfortably so and the "sideways V" design helps spread a get rid of the heat. The only downside I can think of is regarding battery life - i've not been able to get near the 5 hours quoted; more around half under demanding loads. Which is somewhat understandable given the specs but may be a disappointment to some who want to use it as a traditional tablet. My RasPad now has retropie on it the majority of the time and is a superb like retro-gaming powerhouse - and using the HDMI out can become a little portable gaming station. With a switch of a micro-SD card though, it can become a full linux computer\laptop and a little dev station. It's really awesome thinking about the difference use cases and from my use the RasPad is super adaptable. The coolest thing about the RasPad 3.0 is that it's the tinkerer's dream - You need to assemble everything, pick, install and setup an OS and tweak to your liking. If the idea of this puts you off then the RasPad might not be ideal for you - but if you've ever wanted to attempt a Raspberry Pi build, want to tinker, want high quality parts to start from - you can't go wrong with the RasPad.The RasPad 3.0 would make a fantastic gift and I would highly reccommend it.
