This is the solution to the loaded gun at home when they may be found accidentally by kids or nosy adults. You cannot fire the gun or pull the trigger with these engaged, and the combination factor is easy to memorize and simple to use without looking down after a little practice. I have a Glock 19.One thing I didn't know until I received this, is that the mag on my Glock will only hold half of the originally designed capacity with this lock. I can only assume the lock mechanism takes up the lower half of the mag. I did not see this in any of the literature I read on these. BUT, its worth it to me for the added safety. If it concerns you, carry extra mags for those long, drawn out gunfights at the corral.Note for open carry folks: If you carry your gun in plain view, were someone to grab it out of your rig, they would not be able to use it against you. A must for open carry advocates.Update: I began carrying a different gun after buying this and left it in my safe. When I pulled it out months later, although I remembered the combination for the mag, but couldn't remember the sequence of the buttons to unlock it. Went to the website and refreshed my memory and got it unlocked, but the moral of this mag is "PRACTICE WITH IT FREQUENTLY" to instill muscle memory in how to unlock it, or you may get locked out of your own gun. Frankly, as I write this, I cannot again remember how to unlock it. Of course you can leave the mag unlocked while in storage, but then why buy it, if you're not going to use it.

Bad quality the mag on my gun a waist of money, I want my money back

Magazine arrived promptly and after getting used to how it worked inserted it into my G19. After pulling the slide back I was able to get the safety to engage and the lock to function properly.HOWEVER, the "10" round magazine only holds 8 rounds and the follower rides high and will lock back the slide with one round left in the mag. Therefore it's actually only a 7 round magazine. NOT OPTIMAL !!!Bad enough being restricted to only 10 rounds, but to find you only have 7 in an emergency isn't reassuring.Since I'm writing this up after just un-boxing the purchase I haven't gotten to the range with it for fire drills yet, and unfortunately I won't have time for two weeks due to business. However, if after range work the magazine fails in any way I will be returning it. Too bad, I really liked the idea and concept but it's not quite there.

This should be mandatory for all hand guns. It functions great and would prevent any accidental shooting if use correctly when not carrying or gun not under your control.
