Don't let this thing jam!
I have a couple issues with this pen.So, I 2-day primed it (costs extra for alaska, otherwise they ship everything 2 weeks later)Let my friend start it up because I wasn't ready to start using it.They popped the fillament spool in it without straightening the end and this created a jam in the middle of the tube. This pen does not have screws. You have to pop off the back with a knife and as delicate as I was, I managed to break a tab.So I hotglued/superglue combo'd it to make a little finger cushion and electrical taped the back side.My second issue is the speed adjustment. My other pen has a slider and thought this would be a better option to have buttons. The problem is: you cant change the speed while the feed is going and that is a bit of an annoyance.More digital and newer generations ought to be better but this pen is a bit of a step and let down. All good though. It functions and thats what I need. A tool for quick jobs and repairs

Professional-Looking Pen
Excellent little pen. Much nicer looking than most of the others for sale through Amazon; they look so childish, whereas, despite the little Minion in the corner, this pen has a rather professional look about it. I've used it for a few hours altogether in just the last few days, including maybe three hours during which I made a tie fighter, with only a few 20 minute breaks in between to let it cool down. It isn't hot to the touch, and so you can expel the filament right onto your hand to maneuver it more intricately before it solidifies. It takes around 15 seconds to do so, so you need patience if you wish to make vertical lines. It comes with two PLA and two ABS packets of filament, each maybe two meters total, which to my surprise if enough for a single item; I made a pretty nifty-looking tree with just over a meter of filament which, standing about three inches tall and with a radius of about a centimeter, rather surprises me. I am very happy with this product.I'd suggest taking some time getting to know your pen before attempting anything too significant; it took me maybe half an hour just to learn how to draw a decent cube. Maybe half a dozen of my relatives tried it at Christmas, and it more or less took a little bit of effort for everybody to get the hang of it, but it really isn't that hard. Within an hour we make an amazing (if I do say so myself) tie fighter.

Comfortable and Effective
Update to my pen review: The pen stopped working about two days after I posted this review. First thing that happened was the slower speeds stopped functioning, then the pen started to make a horrible clicking noise and would only work in reverse to eject the filament. I even responded to the seller e-mail about reaching out to them if there was a problem with no response within a reasonable amount of time. (I do not expect them to respond within 5 minutes, but 36 hours is ample time for a response, even just to say they received my e-mail and will get back within X amount of time.) Sending this back.Previous Review:The pen works like a dream. It fits well in the hand and is not bulky or awkward to hold. The balance is like that of an ink pen. I have made many things from a 20 sided object to a dreidel to a wedge of cheese. It is very easy to use and the instructions are straight forward with no guessing. The only thing this pen cannot help with is skill. But that is up to the user and develops with time. I plan to buy more for my daughters as they love using my pen too.

Great creative outlet
This is a very fun creative outlet. The pen comes with 4 random colors of filament (enough to create a few small projects), but you will need to order more to continue to use the pen, and to have more variety in color for your projects. There is a little bit of a learning curve to using this, but I am having a lot of fun figuring everything out! I really like the expansive variety of things that this pen can be used for. You can write words, create figurines, make model structures, and probably a lot more than I can think of at the moment. I'm excited to get more colors of the filament so I can expand on what types of projects I can make.

Fun art medium for an artistic person
I bought this for my daughter who loves painting. She loves to explore art using this different medium. She enjoys being able to create 3D art instead of her usual single dimension paint on paper or canvas. This set comes with everything you need to get started: the pen, a holder for the pen, a power cord, filament, and clear instructions. It is easy to fill and remove filament when you want to change colors. the holder prevents burns to yourself or your table and is a great way to store your 3D pen.

My daughter loves it
I bought this for my daughter as a birthday gift. She loved it. I never got to see her use it as she would never show me but, she did show me all the things she made with it. She made some pretty complex things too. So, I guys it easy enough for a 9 year old to figure out and use. To this day she still uses it. I buy her a bundle of different color plactic filment or what they are called about once a month. 5 stars.

Not for Beginners!!!
Not impressed. I read hundreds of reviews on Amazon to find the best 3D printing pen for my daughter. This came with almost no instructions and very little trou le shooting help. A filament got jammed in the pen on the first try and I can't get it unstuck. I wrote to the seller asking for help/instructions and got "try pushing it out with another piece of filament." Didn't work :-(
