Great for most squats. Comfortable and excellent quality. Found it uncomfortable for good morning squats, but this is most likely because the barbell sits lower on the traps, forcing my arms further back because of the cushion, thus creating an awkward angle, which gave me a cramp in my left lat. That being said, I do need to work on my flexibility, but for now I just stick with a naked barbell for these exercises.

This pad works great. No more pain from the bar while doing squats.

Updated: I took this to the gym and my trainer pointed out one MAJOR flaw: the contoured part in the middle is porous so it will suck in sweat like crazy. My trainer is a germ o phobic! He said he will keep it there for me, but it will only be for me.Sukoa Barbell Squat Pad -Ergonomic Bar Sponge...I work out with a personal trainer and they have some foam pads at the gym for squats and stuff, but they get sweaty from EVERYONE and they have velcro that can sometimes catch my hair and, quite frankly, I am a 5'4" female and the neck contouring on this is simply better. This is also super squishy, which I like as well.My only complaint, if you want to call it that, is that the gap to put this over the bar is probably a bit more than it needed to be. I am taking this into the gym tomorrow and I will update this in the even that the gap causes any problem but I could see where it might be a bit dangerous. This pad's great. It provides a great cushion for the barbell while not being quite as soft and spongy as you'd expect. I'm not sure why they designed the opening the way they did though. Typically, when someone says "barbell", I think of an olympic sized barbell and nothing else...especially concerning squats, yet they advertised this as being able to fit many different types. I'm only aware of standard, or olympic sizes and both of them are nearly the same in the middle. Anyway...as you can see from the pic, it does not fit completely around the olympic sized barbell. While this is not a huge deal, it is something that I wish they would've changed in the design.Update 10/13/32016 - I had thought that with a little use the gap would decrease some but sadly it hasn't. And it's grown to bother me over time as well...having to make sure that the exposed gap is not where the barbell will be placed on my shoulders. Docking another star off of this one because it's just "alright"...but not good at this point.

very good squat pad.Bought this item to my clients as a personal trainer.not everyone can lift the bar with no pad on it.it can cause pain on the upper back, not to cause injury but its not comfortable to lift.to lift with no pain, you need to have well developed traps to hold the bar in place like natural pads.this pad is very good made from high quality sponge.the design of this pad is great fits perfectly to anyone who want to train with it.very good producthighly recommendedI received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

I have been caring this with me in my gym bag in order to use for front and back squats. It is so much more comfortable than the bar itself and the ones at the gym seem to be so loose that they fall off. This one fits tight and snug and doesn't slip off as I'm lifting. Extremely comfortable and seems to be pretty durable. I'm glad I purchased this.
