Nice Movie
I watched it with my 8 year old daughter. She loved it. I as a parent have seen a lot of these computerized movies that all seem to have the same story lines.

Finally a family-friendly movie
This movie did not have any “agendas.” We could finally watch something as a family and not have to worry about any political or social agenda they might try to plug in for little kids, innuendos, and/or rude language. The very very beginning is something we skip for our more sensitive kids, but the rest of the movie is overall great! There’s a diverse cast of characters. Girls are empowered without being pandered to. I definitely disagree with the main character’s parent and his parenting style, but Pru’s dad knows what’s up. It’s a good movie for kids/families.

Not Worth It. A lazy Film full of DreamWorks recycling.
While the cuteness is there, the movie is a letdown.Story:Plot points and story-telling are rushed, horribly. The ability to tell a story is frequently back-seated in favor of a spoon-fed reduction, making the story feel like it could be fun but is being told by a lazy storyteller who couldn't be bothered. Many other DreamWorks titles can happily give kids and adults alike a good show, but this movie feels more like it just wants your 12 year old daughter to act 16 already.Animation:The Wild West seems to conveniently serve as a barren land devoid of any character or render-assets at all, fully equipped with a single point light-source by way of the Sun. You feel like a train is a toy model animated on a burnt-sienna floor, not a train through the west. The quality felt more like 'Antz' and much less like 'How To Train Your Dragon'. The young girl adopted immediate martial arts so some animation models could be borrowed from the superhero franchise while mannerisms were softly borrowed from Wreck-It-Ralph; the little kid with his donkey was a recycle from The Incredibles big-wheel kid. To cross production lines and to go back a few decades, Toy Story felt like it had more life and pride in each scene than this movie did in its entirety. It just really felt like they phoned it in and just tried to bridge their apathy with forced emotional leading-music.In a world with so many graphics engines emerging with the various gaming platforms, this movie just feels out-classed and too late.All-in-all: A Total Letdown.Voice Acting:While scenes seemed forced and lines seemed to direct, I will say that nothing frustrated me regarding the voice acting. It felt clunky and limited, but never more than the limitations that the writers imposed upon the characters themselves.Go ahead and play your free 'Get Out Of Jail Free' Covid-Card, DreamWorks, but you plopped out a steamer here in the wake of many more impressive titles.I recommend that you wait and don't blow $20 on this. If your kid loves horses, just show them the 2002 movie Spirit, it's priced better for the same reward and will pull their emotional heart strings just the same. If they like the young girl more than the horse, show them Brave. If you or your kid are over 21 and still wants to see horses, just go watch the non-animated film: The Mustang. Either way this movie just doesn't do anything special for probably 99% of you...
