Let the kids spend more time playing and using their imagination and less time crying because the handle fell off their (or your) shovel. NOTES: Never let kids dig near underground utilities! Obviously this is very dangerous! Get the utilities marked before digging. Just call your gas and electricity provider and they will come mark them. It’s usually free of charge. Clean shovel and oil the steel blade with a rust preventative before storing. Paint will get scratched off of steel blade with use. This is normal, expected and will not affect the usability.
