LEGO VIDIYO Robo Hiphop Car 43112 Building Kit Toy, Inspire Kids to Direct and Star in Their Own Music Videos; New 2021 (387 Pieces)

First of all I have not downloaded the Vidiyo App and I am actually not likely to. I know that is what they are designed for but I will admit I got these more for the Minifigures than for any interest in making music videos through the App. This does make the set seem expensive, however, if you are going to be using the Vidiyo App then you have to factor in the actual licensing costs to Universal and their Artists that make the App possible by uploading their back catalogue on there.The 16 included beatbit tiles are well printed and come in a variety of colours so you can change them out based on the image on the front or their colour. Alternatively you can use them for what they are meant for - special actions within the App. Personally I think they will be a great resource for MOcs, particularly wall art or for using as book covers or vinyl album covers.Beyond that the set is actually pretty fun.You get two highly detailed minifigures with the set - a bass bot and a sing bot. They are both really cute and different to any of the existing characters within the Vidiyo range. There is also a small "stand" that takes one character and that you can add the beatbit tiles too for use in the app. Not too sure why they didn't incorporate tile locations within the stage to be honest as surely the whole point is to use your scene within the app and have it populate your videos.The stage itself is a lot of fun and is an 8 stud wide limousine with a stage plopped on top of it. Strangely, this is a really effective design choice and it works really well. Aesthetically I really do love the look of the limo - after all it does have a hot tub in the back! The little touches are fun on this - down to a DJ deck in the cab of the vehicle - especially the use of the gear stick piece as a tonearm (I know they have done this in other sets but as this is a car it seemed even more fitting).There are two sides to the stage and some sections spin round so you can change the scene depending on your mood or music choice. The front is the gold and white robot and the detailing on this is really spot on and it is definitely my favourite of the two. The reverse has a blue and grey robot that looks a little unsettling. You can spin the icon box at the top to mix and match them so you can always have your favourite side on display. The speakers also rotate and have matching, colour co-ordinated designs to the icon on the topbox.Overall a fun build that does look good on display and also has play value - even if it is just because it is a car!Number Of Pieces: 387Approximate Price Per Piece: £0.06Build Time: 45 Minutes

The Lego VIDIYO Robo Hip Hop Car is better than the app. The app is not good for neuro-diverse people, but the set is very good. Two faces on the car, two options for speakers, and two options for lights. The set comes with Base Bot and Sing Bot minis, and don’t judge a set by its cover! At the back is a pool of water, red and green bottles, gold cups and a tap. Reviewed by 8 year old.

Leider ist das Set real tatsächlich noch weniger ansprechend als es auf den Bildern ohnehin schon aussieht. Grundsätzlich finde ich die Idee eines „Pimp Ride“ mit Sprudelbad im umgebauten Kofferraum nicht schlecht und sowas gibt's ja tatsächlich, allerdings hat sich LEGO für die langweiligste Umsetzung entschieden. Tatsächlich sollte nämlich aus meiner Sicht das ganze Auto goldig glitzern und Highlights in Kupfer/ Bronze haben. Dafür hätte man aber natürlich erstmal all die Teile in diesen Farben herstellen müssen und da war LEGO zu geizig. Auch vermisse ich ein paar durchgeknallte Farbklekse wie bei den Figuren oder anderen Sets. Im Prinzip wirkt das Set nur wie ein aufgebohrtes Modell aus den Speed Champions oder City, passt aber sonst nicht so recht zu VIDIYO. Selbst die Figuren sind eher unauffällig im Sinne von „Kann man mal machen, aber man verpasst nichts.“ Leider ist das wirklich kein Set, das man unbedingt haben muss.

Viele LEGO Fans wollten schon immer eine Bühne auf der LEGO Bands spielen. Vidiyo bietet nun eine sehr eigenartige und originelle Variante in Form eines Lowriders, passend zu Hip Hop und Robotern.Was passt hier besser dazu, als eine Band im „Daft Punk Style“ aus Roboter und Cyborg, samt Instrumenten, die einem auch ein wenig an Dieter Bohle und Thomas Anders aus den 80ern erinnern. Dazu Sammelplättchen in Form von Plattecovern auf BEDRUCKTEN 2 x 2 Fliesen. Sehr Cool, sehr stylisch und wunderbar!Das ganze dient, mit seinen Neonfarben und Fliesen, nur einen Zweck, ähnlich wie schon bei Hidden Side, soll hier per App (Android & iOS) das Smartphone mit ins Spiel gebracht werden. Jeglichen Kommentar hierzu erspare ich mir. Lediglich zu Preispolitik und der Zusammenarbeit mit der Plattenindustrie möchte ich sagen, dass ich den recht hohen Aufschlag hierzu nicht gut finde. Der macht das Set teuer und auch die Nutzung des Smartphones keinesfalls vertretbarer.Aber kommen wir zum Set, das ist Bombe! 387 Steinchen warten darauf, mit der 78 seitigen Anleitung, zusammengesetzt zu werden. Das macht Spaß, sorgt für A-Ha und dauert ca. 30-45 min. Tolle Bühne, tolle Band, ein wirklich schöne und empfehlenswertes Set... allerdings nur im Angebot, ansonsten ärgert man sich einfach nur. Digitale Inhalte sind nette Boni, sollten aber nicht zu Geld gemacht werden in solch einem Umfang.

Lego / Universal VidiyoDass das Ganze ein Megaflop war/ist, sollte mittlerweile auch der letzte mitbekommen haben. Die Sets sind maßlos überteuert, eigentlich braucht man die Steine nicht, weil die Kinder dazu genötigt werden, ein Smartphone neuerer Generation zu benutzen und sowas hat nichts mehr mit Lego zu tun.Die Sets wurden/werden teilweise mit 70-80% Rabatt im Markt verschleudert. Dieses Set hier auch schon mit min. 50% oder mehr. Die kleinen Beatboxen (UVP 19,99) wurden teilweise bei Einkäufen sogar verschenkt!!!Das Auto ist ganz lustig, kann man sich vielleicht ein bisschen MOCen, dann kann man damit vielleicht auch etwas anfangen und in seine City stellen.Die Gestaltung der Minifiguren sind aber super. Da gibt es Arm- und Beinprints ohne Ende, extra Moulds für die Köpfe, etc. Die Minifiguren sind das einzige Highlight an der ganzen Vidiyo Reihe (welche ja nur 2 Wellen geschafft hat, Hidden Side mit super Sets hat zumindest 3 Wellen gelebt).Die Sets darf man nur kaufen, mit min. 50% Nachlass (eher 70-80%) gegenüber der UVP.
