Designed for riders aged 4-7 years old, this bike is built from quality components for durability. The 6061 aircraft grade alloy frame and rims keeps the bike weight to 13lbs, ideal for young kids that want to handle their bike easily. The rear hand brake with child sized brake lever provides great stopping power. Designed with a low center of gravity, wide handlebars and premium tires, this bike has greater stability than most others. The seat has a built in grab handle for when your kid needs a little help. Minimum seat height is 12 inches. High grade paint is used on Stampede Bikes to ensure even with the roughest of wear, it will look good for longer. No flimsy sticky peeling off after a few days use. Whilst we take great care in assembling and packaging Stampede Bikes, you will need to spend some time assembling the bicycle. Every CHR16-ORN-ST16 is slightly different, but you will likely need to: install front wheel, handlebar, seat post, tune brakes and set tires to your preferred pressure. This works. "Just One Thing" method of learning
I bought this balance bike to help my 6-year old grandson learn to ride. His pedal bike was a bit too large, and he had become disinterested in the process out of frustration. From day 1 on the balance bike he began to gain confidence. "Just one thing" applies to learning to ride - learn to balance first, then once balance is mastered take on the pedals. Just today, after 5-10 hours of practice spread over a couple months, he graduated to the full pedal bike and was instantly successful. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

A great bike

Sturdy, fun and easy to use.
Great balance bike and my 4 yr old wanted one of his own so I already have a second one on order. My 6 yr is pretty hesitant, but this bike is sturdy, good looking and easy for the kids to use. After a few minutes a day 5 days later, he's definitely progressing and will be ready for a pedal bike in probably a couple weeks. Only thing holding me back from giving it 5 stars is the seat doesn't slide up and down very well to adjust it to different riders and my 6 yr old complained the seat wasn't comfortable after being on it a while (though that's probably just him not used to being on a bike for more than 5 minutes at a time).

She loved it from the beginning
Bought this bike for my very bike nervous 6 year old who just wasn't catching on to bikes. The bike fit her perfectly, with a bit of room to grow. She loved it from the beginning, and within a couple days was zooming down the hill on it. Even after she was able to transition to a pedal bike, she loved riding this one! We have since passed the bike on to our 4 year old who also loves this bike. It is very light weight, and even the 4 year old can easily pick the bike up. The 4 year now can use pedals, but she still rather use this bike for now.
