33 gallon size is the perfect size for a 30 gallon trash can. Very satisfied with the "green aspects" of this trash bag also.

I make an effort to choose environmentally responsible products. And I was surprised at how difficult it was to find biodegradable trash bags. Since we go through so many of these things, and because making biodegradable plastic is (according to what I’ve read recently) not all that difficult, why on earth are we still throwing away so many millions of non-degradable bags with all our garbage?I bought these to line a trash can into which I toss yet more biodegradable small bags filled with dog waste. I just couldn’t continue to throw out large plastic bags filled with more plastic bags knowing they’d be around basically forever. These are not inexpensive compared to regular trash bags at about 50 cents per bag. They’re light, but strong enough. I would like to be able to order more sizes. This fits in a large bin, but it would be great to have a kitchen trash can size.Other reviewers have pointed out that these bags can take a few years to degrade. That’s true—their degradability depends upon the environment into which they are disposed of. However, three years versus hundreds, and by some estimates not at all. I’d say 3 years isn’t so bad.Not 5 stars because they're expensive.

I have a big yard. I'm able to fill up a TON of yard waste. The bag maintains stability when full. Resists tears from small twigs. Can hold up on the curb for a couple days without breaking down.

I like the product, but should have read and reread the description as you can recycle these, but they are not compostable. Therefore, the local government service that usually picks up leaves in “green” bags shot these down.
