For your own sake and sanity. I have 2 WD hard drives and 1 seagate the difference is unbelievable, my WD both of them are dead and all my work has just gone and vanished because of that unlike the best brand over here ((SEAGATE 😍)).Please please stay safe and buy seagate for your own health.

I bought it as an extended storage for my PS4 but it doesn't so i returned it back and got refunded. I got the product new, but unfortunately it's not compatible with the PS4. NEVER BUY IT FOR PS4. I gave 2 stars since the device is working but not for the intend purpose. The HDD it self is pretty good and cheap. Can be used as a backup drive for your devices.

Extremely happy with my purchase. Shipping was done in 1 day and the product itself is really fast so you can hook it up to your laptop and work directly from it without sacrificing speed especially when it comes to video and audio editing. Price and quality is top notch.

No encryption, no good customer service after sales. System hangs and very slow performance of copying. Every time I need to restart my system to start sharing the stuff. Very bad decision in purchasing Seagate external hard drive.

I have purchased three of these drives so far (the 6TB Hub version) and I must say I am impressed and completely satisfied.The package contains the AC adapter and it also has a replaceable plug for EU/UK sockets which is quite handy. USB cable is provided as well.I use these drives to store media on them, and even though the speeds are not lightning fast, the drives are working steady with no issues at all. As you can see on the pictures I've put mine to the test with more than 40TB lifetime writes and the drive still doesn't have any bad sectors.None of these drives are having any issues (one is 2 years old, one is 1 and the last one is about 2 months).Temperatures don't go too high either so you don't have to worry about roasting them if you provide good ventilation.Noise levels are not high but you can definitely can hear them running in a completely quiet room.The USB ports on the front makes them able to be daisychained so it only needs one USB port on your PC/laptop which is a good thing.My only issue is that as I have 3 of these bad boys I need to use 3 AC sockets. It worked for 1-2 weeks then corrupted my psr which no longer turns on past safe mode. It worked perfectly until I used the hard drive. It's FALSE advertising, it is NOT compatible with ps4. Check reddit and playstation forums, I can't even initialize the console to reset it as it malfunctions every time saying "cannot start the ps4". I'm going to have to pay to get it fixed and / or buy a new one. Do your research and AVOID if you are using ps4. So disappointed its ruined my console and I've just bought Christmas presents for other people so I can't even replace it yet. Outraged!!!

Having spend time and trouble chasing Seagate re. warranty when device stopped backing up data (read only) they finally were going to send a replacement so I could move my data across and send them back the broken one. But then nothing happened. No response to emails either. I am unlikely to buy a product from this company again based on this experience - and I still have no way of backing up my computer and a useless and expensive external drive. Not happy.

I purchased the 4Tb drive (formatted size 3.63 Tb) to replace a WD one that stopped working a couple of days ago and this to me highlights the most important requirement of a portable drive in that it needs to be reliable. Unfortunately when you buy one of these drives you don’t know how reliable or how long it will last. The WD drive that failed was just over 3 years old and had spent most of its life in a case, I also had a Seagate drive that was older and used much more and is still going which is why this time I went for another Seagate. Only time will tell if I made the right decision, but over the last 24 hours or so I have copied over 2.5 Tb’s to the drive so it has been writing solidly for that period without any issues which is a good sign. The write and read speeds seem to be in line with my other similar drives but it very much depends on what you are reading/writing as writing a single large file will be quicker that writing several small files totaling a similar size.The drive is also very quiet which is good, so at the moment I am pleased with the drive and hope I will continue to be for years to come.

È complicato dare un giudizio su un hard disk, senza averlo usato per mesi o anni.Appena attaccato si è accesa la spia ed è stato subito letto sia da mac che da pc tramite usb 3.0.Poco rumore in partenza ma abbastanza silenzioso mentre lavora.Risulta veloce in lettura e scrittura (ho copiato 2TB in 3/4ore).Ha 2 ingressi usb comodi per poter collegare altri dispositivi.In aggiunta, al momento della registrazione viene regalato un abbonamento di 2 mesi al piano Adobe Creative Photography.Aggiornerò la recensione se noterò qualcosa di negativo nel tempo, per ora lo consiglio per qualità/prezzo (120 euro quello da 6tb).
