Fun learning game!
We have loved this game! There are several ways to play. My kindergartener is really enjoying playing and is learning great math too. The tiles are sturdy able it the box and egg. Small & compact but big on fun!

Boring as a competitive game
I got this game for my game-loving son. The quality of the game is great and the concept is good. Unfortunately, it was not a very exciting game and the instructions were somewhat vague. We had several instances that came up where we weren't sure if a certain move was allowed or not. However, he did enjoy the individual one-player games that were suggested for practicing his adding and subtraction skills. The multi-player game just wasn't our favorite. I probably wouldn't recommend this game as there are a lot of other more competitive math games out there that are more exciting.

Math egg!
Great for addition and subtraction practice! Fun for my kindergarten students. Can do more orLess with them depending on their level of ability.

captures kids' attention long enough for them to learn something
Any math game is a winner in my book. See, because my granddaughters don't really like math. They're somewhat normal in that regard. But I want them to be good at math. Or at least serviceable. But they do like games. So if I can get them to play a game, they'll be more interested in doing math. So this figured to be a pretty good place to start. This comes in a plastic egg that's filled with lots of numbers. Players are supposed to string together numbers with math symbols to make equations. The next person is supposed to build upon what's already on the playing field. Points are tallied and a winner is named. It's best played around a table or even on a floor. You want a place where you and yours can spread out. It's fine. Yes, a bit helpful, I hope, for kids learning addition and subtraction. But it's also not fun enough that my grandkids are begging me to play. When given the choice between this game and watching TV, guess what they're picking? But it does capture their attention. And I of course enjoy spending time with them while we're playing this game.

Missing pieces
I was very disappointed that 4 pieces were missing from the game. Will not buy used again!

Enjoyable and educational
Me and my 6yr old really enjoyed this game. We played it along with some unifix cubes to give her a hand with her sums. Held her attention for a whole game. A great maths resource that brings in a play element to learning

Excellent value for money and a great resource!
Absolutely excellent! Have been using it with one of my SEN students and she constantly aks for the egg game to practise her numeracy - it is such a lovely resource and although some commented on the quality of the plastic tiles, as someone who has been using professional learning resources for 2 decades now, I have to say it is pretty good in comparison. If anything I would pay twice as much for something like that from a school supplier, so cannot complain. the egg does not close tight, I must admit, but we just put some sellotape on one side and it does the trick. I cannot fault it, given the price. If it was priced differently, I would probably consider giving less of a glowing review, but as it stands - you get great value for money!

Math Scramble Egg
I'm not the best with math so anything that can help me encourage and develop my little one's understanding of math is great for me and this one is simple yet effective. You get a blue plastic egg which 'cracks' open to reveal 85 game pieces mainly numbers and the symbols +/- with some bacon and toast slices for some alternative play. You also get instructions on games to be played either individually or with up to 4 players which vary in difficulty depending on competency levels.I think this is a great idea, simple but well made and great for encouraging mental maths using visual tiles and game play so they don't realise it is math! Overall impressed with this set and though at £12.21 (at time of reviewing) is a tad more expensive than I'd like, I do value Learning Resources items and feel they provide good value for money as they kill two birds with one stone in terms of being educational as well as fun!

math fun surely not
Newphews are not fans of maths so decided to try help them, I didn't like maths at school either so thought maybe a game or two and make them fun, I make it reward based, they get to play with my dogs they love do play throw/fetch with them but I have been making them earn this fun with this maths game which winner at first so I brought in dog treats (for the dogs not them lol) and taught them how to do some training with my girls, little do they know it is just another form of learning but they love the fact my dogs 'spin' for a treat & think they look like ballerina dogs but anyway they now always want this game out to earn dog fun! We have made some rewards based for snacks which also works then they go back to mom full of sugar and having had some maths fun :)

Great!!
This is really well-made and I like that it acts as a storage jar. There’s lots of things you can do with this and it’s good quality. It definitely engaged my child and the ideas given in the booklet for learning games are good. I think you could think of lots of things to do with the tiles though that go beyond the suggestions. The only limit is your imagination really! They can really support homework to..A really great little resource and I can see how helpful this will be for my own child. Very versatile.
