This acts no different than standard nail polish. Even smells like nail polish. And all for $10. **Q: Is this a good stuff to put on fingernails that are damaged via physical activity, mechanic work, etc.? Can gelatin help?** A: No. It isn’t fixing my split (or even preventing further splitting) and peels off of layering nails. Waste of $10. **Q: Is this removable with regular polish remover?** A: Yes. It is easily removed with nail polish remover. **Q: Can you use this on top of gel polish?** A: I used it on m Essie regular nail polish on my split nail and it worked out wonderfully. If I used a gel polish I would test it to see if you would get same results the bottle did say for all nail polishes But I would still test it. I get better results with a thin layer of Gorilla Glue and then a couple of coats of Sally Hansen’s Hard as Nails until the nail is long enough to file off the broken part. Very disappointed! The first time I used it, it seemed to be holding.
