This is the first DOT helmet that I've ever owned that I actually like. I have been wearing those novelty helmets for over 15 years because I hate the mushroom head look. But I am a parent now and I need to keep my brain as safe as possible. So I bought a DOT helmet that was supposedly low profile, but it made my head look like a giant mushroom and it would constantly slide back with the wind. I was reluctant to buy this helmet as it covers my ears and I want to be able to hear my music. I can hear my music and I have to say that I may even be able to hear it better because the wind is being blocked off. My son said the helmet makes me look cool and scary. I think it looks ok! And I'd much rather look like an astronaut than a mushroom head. I'm very pleased with this helmet and the price is great! If you're hesitant to buy this, I urge you to do it. And I love the little visor it comes with, it's cute and gives it a more edgy look. It is detachable too so you don't need to wear it. But I think it looks good. I really love this helmet.

I'm a fairly small dude what a small frame, around 5'8'' 140 lbs (but super ripped and cut like Bruce Lee... haha), so it's been hard to find one of these types of helmets that doesn't do the dreaded bobble-head thing everyone is always going on about. Anyway, I was hesitant to purchase one online that boasted the whole "lowest profile helmet on the market" claim because I had done that before and it turned out to be the same as all the others and look ridiculous. I'm also not an old school, 50 year old cruiser rider (no disrespect intended), I'm a young dude with super great style so that look just doesn't suit me. Well let me tell you I was pumped when I got this, it really is super low profile and being DOT that makes it even better considering how big of sticklers the cops are around here about anything they can get you on to keep lining their pockets with your hard earned cash. With a bubble shield, I went matte black helmet and dark smoke shield, it looks super far out. I say go for it, it's economical and looks killer. Cheers.

Holy crap. It's taken me 10 years to find this helmet and I'm never going to let go. You see, I have a child size head. I'm 5/11 but wear a small or extra small helmet which makes things tough. I always mushroomed head and couldn't take myself seriously in a DOT helmet. Which lead to a dark road of using skull caps and brain buckets. I finally started doing research on this, (8 helmets later) and realized that very few manufacturers actually use different shell sizes per helmet size. So basically all helmets were the same size and when you order a small, you just get extra foam inside. Daytona has several shell sizes that scale with the helmet size. I finally look like a human again and feel far more comfortable than when i used to wear novelty.It's not top notch quality and for its price, I don't expect it to be. The clasps are plastic which irks me but not enough to degrade a star. It's a low fitting helmet and I can't say enough nice things about it. I bought a bubble shield to go on it for that cool retro look

I was tempted to give this product 4 stars because of the incorrectly advertised pictures but I still believe that this product deserves 5 stars. I did a lot of research on helmets that would fit my 3 year old sons head and that were also DOT approved. This helmet is advertised as the smallest dot approved helmet on the market and I agree with that statement. The walls are vey thin and the padding is not intrusive. He is young and still developing his neck muscles so I wanted him safe but not overwhelmed.Be aware if you are purchasing the small size, the pictures show a pull down sun visor and this is not so. Read the description carefully because I was expecting the pull down visor. For accurate images of the product look at the other sizes of the helmet their images match what is sold.

I purchased this helmet as a result of receiving a Bluetooth communication system for Christmas. I live in Florida and helmets are not mandatory. Up to receiving the helmet, I seldom wore one. The second time out, I was hit on my motorcycle by a 40 foot cattle trailer and ended up rolling down the road and doing considerable damage to my Triumph Bonneville. The helmet did it's job and the back of it has deep scratches from the pavement.The helmet is light and comfortable. It is DOT approved and has to have a certain amount of foam for protection. I don't think there is a DOT approved helmet that fits closely to your head and is therefore slightly larger that I was hoping for. Given my circumstance, the extra space may have saved me from a traumatic brain injury or worse.I would recommend this helmet. I bought a second one for myself.

First and foremost, this is absolutely the best fitting helmet I have ever had! It is also the lightest, even lighter than my half helmet. I have an oval shaped head and most helmets are made rounder, so I generally have to order a smaller size so that it fits well on the sides of my head, but it is very tight in the front. This helmet was true to size and fits an oval head perfectly!! I wore it for the first time today and my neck does not feel strained under it's weight. Has a great metal quick release and goggle strap on the back. Amazing helmet!!

The helmet looks great. It does not look overly large on my head. Added the biltwell chrome bubble sheild, this is the first helmet that I have ever had that I didnt think looked rediculis and do not feel the need to rip it off as fast as possible. The flat black does show alot of fingerprints and it looks like it may scratch up easy but I am not real concerned with that, like actually look more BA with a little weathered look.

I gave this review a 4 star .... when receiving the package this helmet had a very strong smell ( stank real bad)
