In the year of Covid, as everything was put on hold or rescheduled, Bruce delivered a "light" with his The Beatles finally Let It Be.In 2021, as i read the Get Back Book , the liner notes & listened to the Boxed Set while egerly awaiting the Jackson Doc, came Bruce' s newest book which offered a great perspectitive on 2 unique Albums in the Fab Four Canon.An easy, refreshing read & break from the Let It Be Beast, it offered great perspective from different contributiors to the recording & background of only 9 new originals from the 2 projects & how Capitol actually ( for once) forced Parlophone to issue entire Lps from both films & soundteacks.

Bruce Spizer & friends do a great job reviewing the before, during & after of the release of a Beatles album and its impact on modern music. I got a used copy in great shape and quick delivery.

What I like about this series of books is that as well as containing many interesting facts and figures on the albums, the books also reference the times the albums were released and put things into an historical and social context as well. Bruce Spizer is to be commended for the research and effort he put into this book and the quality of the additional contributions from the other writers. Many nice illustrations and pictures are present and the fan reminisces are fun to read particularly one from Leslie Samuels who actually met each individual Beatle and has a photo of George receiving his peace button and meeting Ringo in July 1967.
