I actually bought the tools at the same time as the faceplate, but that was unnecessary as they included a couple of tools (screwdriver and plastic jimmy) as well as replacement screws in case you lose any.Faceplate itself is very soft and nice to the touch and the colour is great. Getting it on was pretty easy (found some instructions with images online although some are included) and it fits perfectly. Tempted to get the back plate as well now!

I LOVE the color, I love the feel to it, and most importantly I love how easy this was to assemble. You’d think it would be complicated but not at all, it’s actually enjoyable lol. It makes you feel super accomplished once it’s actually together. The color is very accurate as well to what I wanted. Now I have a comfortable controller that matches the tranquility of my room. Also, those who are saying it didn’t fit : maybe you didn’t put the screws in the right way, I thought mine didn’t fit either at first until I played around with the screws a bit.

These are a little tedious to install, but that's mostly because the Xbox One S/X controller is a bit hard to take apart. It feels extremely smooth, like a soft matte. It doesn't grip as well as regular controller material, but feels very premium in hand. Personally I don't have issues with gripping the controller, so I'm a fan of the feel. Overall, a great way to personalize your controller visually and change the material/feel of it.

I got the heaven blue color (top controller in pic), it fit perfectly and was very easy to swap out! Will definitely order more in the future!
