I wanted to fry in lard again, but I didn`t have a chip pan, so I used what was a redundant large saucepan. But didn`t have a basket, the answer was the spider skimmer, which works a treat, and is a doddle to clean. Good price too.

Not the best for the money. Clear potential of rusting.

I thought this was going to be bigger then what it is, however. It is not a bad size, you can get a lot of chips out from frying with this strainer. Seems quite sturdy, however l did notice one of the wires is a bit lose already. I have had family ask me where l bought it from, l think it will last a long time, and worth the money.

Very well made and strong, good size for most pans and personally large enough for straining vegetables and deep frying.Can fully recommend.
