Schleich 14814 Hippopotamus & 14816 Indian Rhinoceros

Bought this for my daughter for Christmas for a laugh. She heard the old song "I want a hippopotamus for Christmas" she loves it, and said to me "that's all I want, a hippotamus" so I got her one!Her face on Christmas Day was priceless!. She loves him and has put him on her windowsill and called him Christmas. He's very sturdy and great if your kids have a play zoo to put him in, or just to give someone for a much needed laugh.

I was not so happy I found it to be to small.

I am using these scale models to decorate in craft projects and compared to similar models I bought my son 25 years ago they are on a whole different level. Beautifully detailed and lovely poses they are exquisite. Well worth the money and have held up to paint and glue on them too! I will be buying again for the grand children as I highly recommend.
