I use this for making tea. It's very sturdy, locks well, and keeps heat for a good time, even if the lid is open. It cannot accommodate contigo tea infuser, however I can safely hang on the lid from the inside a tea ball. It never damaged the lid. Update: unfortunately the travel mug leaks: the autoseal functions very well, however the lid leaks from where it locks into the cup. Never thought this would happen, at least not 4 months after purchasing it. :-(

All other thermo mugs I have seen require two hands to initially open their lid. One hand to hold it and one hand to flip the latch. The mug then remains open for one handed sipping. This does not work well on a motorcycle (or other bouncing vehicle) as the drink begins splashing out.As a motorcycle rider this Contigo mug is ideal. The mug is completely sealed between sips with one hand use. Just push the button in when drinking and it closes as you set it down. I have purchased two different "autoseal" models and recommend this design to anyone who doesn't like coffee stains on their clothes or in their car.
