Navy Seals [VHS]

When were seals ever allowed to wear their hair down to their shoulders? Or brag about their exploits to women they're trying to abuse? There are a lot of great Seals movies out there (GI Jane for one) but this is a must miss.

one of those "so bad it's great" movies..kind of what youd expect when charlie sheen and s.epatha merkerson turn in the most powerful performances..go in with low expectations and watch the cheese flow

Acting? What acting? Can you stay awake except for the gun fire and explosions. Obviously fake gun fire and they leave one dead Seal behind? I'm glad I didn't have to purchase this crap.

Terrible acting. Poor story line. Very disappointing.

I must first answer a previous review; there is not one reenactment in either of these videos. Gordon Forbes III recieved permission to film actual SEAL training missions, although the end is result is heavily edited. There are some generic Gulf War combat shots to go with the narration about the operation at Mina Saud, but I don't believe any footage was available of the operation itself. In a world where you can see just about anything on Youtube, I doubt cameras are allowed on missions. No, American documentaries of Special Forces units rarely rely on reenactments. The Brits are the ones notorious for that. They even reenacted the selection course for SAS in one video. These videos are excellent, and are the only ones you will find with contemporary footage of operational SEAL teams. If your tired of watching long retired SEALs slosh around in Vietnam and pretending to get ambushed for the camera, you'll want to check these out. There is one thing keeping you from enjoying these vidoes however; they are never available. I ordered one awhile back and waited for it for three months before Amazon finally told me the vendor hadn't had it in the first place. I've been checking this page for about a year now and haven't seen one for sale. So, good luck.

I heard of this movie in two audio books about seals so I thought it would be a good idea to watch it. Pretty good!

not quite what a navy seals movie is

I have known this film since I was a kid , so nothing unseen !! Love the start when the team get a wedding interrupted for an op in the mediteranean with captured US chopper pilots .The team save them in the nick of time with a great... 4 point entry with black cladd gear and MP5 SD6 carbines or if you prefer SMG`S . They stumble on stingers and the rest of the movie is in part about getting them back with a fantastic , daring mission in the middle east !Charlie Sheen is great in this for starters as is the rest of the cast . Navy seals have since gotten more famous and its a good thing I think , a special forces unit , good by real merit and today combat competency against the odds ,and not good by a farcical , easy Iranian embassy siege 30 years ago by the Brit SAS .God bless the NAVY SEALS !!

I saw this film on tv tonight was flicking through the movie channels and came across this film it brought me back to my childhood watching this on video I had forgotten this film until tonight brought back so many memories just bought it navy seals is like top gun great soundtrack and Charlie Sheen at his best before he went abit mad I would recommend this film to any action movie fan late 80's and 90's an era when the best movies were made.

Bought to replace my original video. About American armed forces dealing with issues in the middle east and although this is about the Palestinians not todays problems it does make you think about the issue, whilst enjoying looking at Charlie Sheen and Michael Biehn.

a group of u.s navy seals are sent on missions abroad where muslim terrorists have got hold of stolen u.s missiles and launchers but one of them is hot headed ,disobeying orders and then they return after r and r (rest and recreation) to capture or kill the leader and destroy the weapons.can they do it a good film recommend it
