High Quality & Great Functionality
I'll be up front and say I was offered a $10 Amazon/Starbucks gift certificate to leave a 5 star review. That being said, I would happily have left a five star review without the gift certificate offer!I absolutely l o v e this cat washroom!First off, it came really well packed and protected. Not a scratch or ding to be seen. The material is REALLY solid and sturdy. Feels like a wood piece my dad would make at home, not cheap particle board.Secondly, it was easy to assemble. I put it together by myself in about 30 mins. I'm sure it would have been quicker with two people but it was pretty simple on my own. Much simpler than others I've attempted.I really liked that the box allows the door to be installed on either the right or left side of the unit. When it came to attaching the basic hinges to the lid and back, I tipped the chest part over onto the floor and laid the lid next to it to make it easier to assemble as a one person crew. Suggest tightening one screw a little bit and then moving on to the next and the next and the next and rotating through the screws of the various hinges until all are mostly tightened (fully tighten when tipped upright). Also I didn't use a drill, though it says you can. Suggest going very slowly if using a drill.I also attached the lid side of the safety-stop hinges while it was in its side. Once those were on, I slowly tipped the chest upright, while keeping the lid held steady. Then finished with all 4 hinges.Easy peasy. :)Also, these safety hinges are awesome! They stay up 90 degrees without a wobble. Even at an angle the lid is not going anywhere. Which is great for human peace of mind and kitty safety. The finished piece is in my bathroom. IMO it looks like it was made for the spot to begin with. It's exactly what I have been looking for!For size reference, regarding the cat door opening, I have a 12 pound cat. Raya has given her paw of approval. Her doggo sister, Gypsy, also approves.Tips:1) The chest needs to be about 1/2" from the wall so the lid can freely open without damaging the wall behind it.2) I threw some treats, over a period of 2 days, into the finished piece for her to find and associate the new "box" with good things. She quickly became comfy coming in and out of the doorway BEFORE I ever added in her liter box.3) I haven't yet installed the second off-set door partition. My kitty balked a bit at that when we tried it. May be a tight fit for her with 2 doors as she is a fairly large breed, Ragamuffin. Fully intend to add it in over the next few weeks. Comes with great little gripper stoppers to keep the partition door set in place. Makes for good flexibility and not a permanent install.4) I added a liner/mat under my jumbo litter box (black item in photos) to protect the bottom of the box from becoming scratched by litter.5) I have found using my cordless handheld Black & Decker for litter removal to be quick and much easier than sweeping loose litters up. Not that there is much to begin with.6) My cat loves to follow me around, so I added a bathroom rug to the top of her new "furniture" to keep scratches from happening. Honestly, the wood is so sturdy I don't think it will scratch easily BUT this piece looks so beautiful I want to keep it looking that way.Overall this baby gets 5 stars, well worth the money I invested, will likely last years and years, which leaves me a VERY VERY VERY happy customer!PS- There was a mild paint smell (not a chemical smell) for a few days but has since faded. I just left her lid open to help air it out.

Has some issues
The safety hinge is the biggest issue I have with this. It worked the first time, but the screws are already backing out and it’s been less than a day. I have concerns about the long term usability of the hinges but will try to fix it. Several screws were mislabeled and steps were missing from the instructions. Some of the pieces were scratched on arrival even though it appeared to be packed fairly well. I don’t care about that too much cause this is for my cats. Really all I wanted from this was a way to keep the dog (30 lbs hound) from trying to get “snacks” from the litter box. At least this is working for that purpose.

Looks great and my cat likes it!
I like the clean look of this item. It looks like a storage bench in my bathroom, but it really encloses my cat’s litter box, and you’d never know, because it has solved the scattered litter problem I’ve had since moving to a small apartment. I wanted to decorate the top with a colorful cushion, but it’s really not meant to be sat upon, so I use it to display magazines and a pretty rock collection instead. I am thrilled that it didn’t take any extra training to get my cat to use it - and she tends to get anxious over any change in her life. I was able to put it together myself, although the instructions were slightly less than accurate; the safety hinge that came with it is not the one represented in the assembly manual. I will need my husband to put it on for me. If you are handy and have done things like this before, you can do it - if not, it might be good to have another person to help you.

No Instructions
The link to the assembly instructions on the paper included in the box did not list my model. So I had to wing it. With a few mistakes, I managed to complete in about 1 1/2 hours. Otherwise, it seems sturdy and accomplishes what I wanted - hide the cat box with something that looks nice. But get a smaller sized pan, the jumbo ordered didn’t fit.

Nice Enclosure, Confusing Directions
This enclosure is nice, spacious, and has worked well thus far. It fits an extra large litter box if needed and the “second room” option is great for an air freshener, scoop storage, etc. As everyone else has stated, the directions are BAD… like, bad bad. So don’t rush this. Also use hand tools not power tools; you’ll strip this composite wood out quickly if you try to over torque anything. So far I’m satisfied and the cat is too. If something happens I’ll be back to update.

Good with Minor Manufacturer Defects and Inconsistent Instructions
Once assembled it's what we expected. Looks nice. The instructions showed a different hinge system than what it shipped with, but wasn't too hard to figure it out. Two of the screw heads were clogged with metal making them unusable, luckily we had some extra screws on hand that worked. Litter box area is not the largest so make sure you measure. Overall seems like it will do the job.

Instructions are terrible - different parts provided than instructions show
Starting to put this together was easy, but once it got to the lid, the instructions didn't match the parts I was provided. It took me over an hour to figure out what how to properly put this together once I got to the lid, which should have taken ten minutes if the instructions were accurate. In addition, one of the screws included did not have the grooves in the head cleared out, so it was useless. Thankfully, I was able to find a random screw at my house that worked. Overall, wouldn't recommend this particular product considering other purchasers have complained about the poor instructions and I worry that the seller will include bad parts.
