We use the buzzer for everything good and reward at the same time. We've found this teaches her that the buzzer is a good thing, then , if necessary, she will feel the vibration if she doesn't listen or obey. Seldom we've had to go to the next level of the Zap, but when we did it was for her own safety.

Collar was worth the money, I actually never had to use the zapping mode, I was able to train my dog just with the ding sound. I didn’t want to hurt my dog and was able to avoid using any physical impulse to train him. Very pleased with my purchase,

It is a typical collar with electrodes that need to touch the dog...any kind of hair on the dog makes the response a bit of hit and miss...the collar needs to be tight or it won't work...because it is an adjustable collar it WILL slip from where you first tightened it o the dog...collar NEEDS to be a buckle type of collar with holes you can pick from like a belt.

I have purchased many different dog training collars and this brand works very well. I only have very minor complaint. When using the lock feature this disable all the functions on the transmitter. I would prefer the lock feature to only lock out the shock button. When using the lock button you cannot use the vibration and the beep feature as well. I’m pretty sure I’m using this correctly? The beep could be a little louder because a couple other dog training systems I have seem to have a little louder tone then the receiver that came with this kit. These are very minor issues but tone does work I just wish I could hear it from a distance.This system would rank the best if the tone was a little louder and the lock button would only lock out the shock feature. One other minor issue is this transmitter does not have a built in belt clip. All the other Dog training collars I own come with a belt clip and the strap, theTransmitter only comes with a strap and I don’t see how you can install a belt clip unless you can find a belt clip to glue or screw onto the transmitter. I’m sure if you do this it will void the warranty I would imagine. However I do like the switches they are very easy to identify without looking at the transmitter unlike other units where all the buttons feel the same and you have to look at the transmitter in order to make sure you don’t hit the shock button. If the transmitter had a belt clip the transmitter would be the best out there in my opinion.Regardless of these minor issues I think this is the best Dog training system you can purchase, especially at the low price compared to many others that cost a lot money. I can tell you that the transmitter is very important in the way it’s made because when you have to use any of the correction features you can hit the correct button without looking at the hand held transmitter. This is very important because other transmitters all the buttons feel the same so you have a look at the transmitter so you don’t inverting shock your pet.I have tested the shock on every one of my dog collars and this one works a lot better than most and you don’t have to set the setting up high at all. I also feel this receiver has a much better Intense feeling at a lower setting compared to other shock collars. I personally do not recommend you shock yourself however if we decide to try it on yourself make sure you start off at a very low setting and then increase the level to what you feel will get the dog’s attention without hurting the dog. Also the receiver comes with silicone caps that you install over the metal prongs. I highly recommend that you install the caps because I have used the metal version without caps and this does mess with the dog skin or at least with my dog it does. When using the silicone caps I noticed no skin issues whatsoever. Using the silicone caps will still shock the dog even at low level settings so be very careful. I do think the transmitter is a perfect size with the big buttons on the transmitter are easy to Identify without looking at the translator. Some of this review is repetitive but I want to make sure that people who have not used three devices before understand how these transmitters make a huge difference because of the button placement compared to smaller size remote systems. Battery life seems to be fine so far. One last this about the transmitter. The 1,2 and 3 channels can be changed without having to look at the display like you must do with many other training systems. You simply slide a switch that Positioned on the side of the remote so that you can actually feel the indentations as you slide it from one Channel to the other. This is another reason why I bought this unit because using transmitters were you have to look at the LED which normally is very small to see. Using the sliding switch makes a big difference because you don’t have to look at what year we arrive we have more than one dog with multiple collars. I would have given it five stars if it came with a belt clip.I would have given it five stars if it came with a belt clip! If the manufacturer happens to read this maybe you can make a belt clip to work with the transmitter and I would be happy to buy it.!
