This beast is unstoppable
This long handled spade is the best I have ever owned in 40 years. It cuts through tough roots 2.5 inches thick, it crushes rocks to bits and makes digging a simple task regardless of the soil and its contents.I started a small nursery business and it is my go to tool! I do not think anything could hurt this spade or its blade! It's not so heavy as to make it hard to handle or tiring. Buy it and you will be amazed!

A Manly heavy shovel
I'm a sixty year old man and this shovel is a brute. I removed several tree stumps with this shovel and it had no problem cutting through tree roots and prying out the root ball. This is a lifetime shovel (family heirloom). With toughness comes weight. This shovel will likely not be your everyday shovel because it is very heavy and tiring. But for brute jobs, this shovel will do the job and reduce the cussing and spitting. I'm very glad I have this shovel in my tool shed.

It's a beast. Commercial quality.
This will be the last spade you'll need to buy. I did landscaping for a couple years, and we had two of these, and they were the most important tools we had. So nice for edging beds and digging. I named mine David Spade, he's one of the crew. Solid, solid tool.

Sturdy
This product seems built to last. If you've internalized the dimensions for the blade on a standard "#2" shovel, you may find the longer, narrower blade on this nursery spade awkward at first, but for something like transplanting trees, this shovel is really nice. The longer blade is good for slicing roots and prying root balls out of the soil. The long, robust steel handle also helps with this. I don't have any complaints.

Will do for now
I grow stronger everyday but as for now this shovel holds.

My new favorite tool!
Heavy duty, welded well. I can take the extra weight for a very well made tool that I'm sure I will have forever.Very rare these days in a world of Chinese Junk.

Well made. Strong.
I like the straight shovel. Has a sturdy handle. I used it to make a squared bottomed ditch to run water and power to my new house.
