We got these for my kids and I liked it so much I got one for myself as well. They are fun to play with and they write nicely as well, plus they come with replacement ink so you can use it for a long time. The only thing I would change is to add a grip to one of the sections because they are fairly heavy and slippery.

This is too cool! I love taking apart the pen and putting the parts back together in different configurations. I can’t stop playing with it! The magnets are pretty strong, so I can pick up almost all the balls at once. It functions both as a pen and as a toy, and the ink is smooth and doesn’t smudge. It also comes with several ink refills. If I take it to work I will get nothing done all day. These will make a fantastic gift.

My daughter didn't use it as a pen, but just played with the magnets. when they get dropped on wood floor, they tend to break and when they break, they break into hundred pieces. Be aware. And the colors come off quickly and easily. But she loves it so I'm buying another one that is similar to this one.
