ELM 327 Diagnostics USB Cable

The device works as expected, but the software is garbage. You're better off running the cable to a laptop with something native to Windows. If you search the web, you'll find tons of alternatives for software, although not all are as affordable as this. I tried s/w that comes with it ..Port configuration issue every time.When i tried another s/w it stop responding after initialization ...I tried to send EML commands through programming bt opening Com port's.Commands are not recoginised ???? response message comes..Overall device is not working ...

when installing the disk into my labtop I noticed that in a keygen folder there was readme files for adult videos and when opened were links to websites for adult websites. also I tried the program that came with the cd and its crap doesnt read the 3 cars i plugged it into even after downloading the latest driver from their website. so now i have to search the web for another program that will work with this devices. (if there is even one)

I had an old Windows 98 computer I couldn't get it to work on but It works great on my windows XP computer. Lots of free software out there that will work with it.

Tried enclosed programs as well as direct USB serial terminal connections. There is no response at all. The cable/chip is fake.

As stated by someone else, no table of contents. mind you it's not a huge book so it's not hard to just thumb through it and find a car. But having one would be handy also
