Yes the bail DOES automatically reset!
Love this reel! So sexy! I paired it with the rainbow braided line and a nice rod of the same brand. It catches bass like it's its job! So smooth!... and after you cast, if you start reeling, the bail does close. It could be a little easier, but it us fine. Really nice rod... and super sharp looking!

DO NOT BUY
First time using this reel and it was slipping. Opened it up only to see that the gears were completely worn down and useless on one side. contacted amazon and sougayilang and both companies passed me off to each other without any offer of a refund or replacement. bummed and disappointed. save yourself the time and don't purchase.

The Color Peels Off
I love the look of this reel. Used in saltwater and it is smooth reeling, but color is chipping off. The color is why I bought it.
