Good product, my three month old can't pull tiles apart which is awesome. Also, there is no smell to the foam at all. But the edge tiles got a little smashed in shipping and don't go together nicely. So I'm happy with the product, just not sure it's good enough quality to be worth being twice the price of other options

Absolutely no smell when they came out of the package. Nice and thick. These are VERY large so we only needed 6 squares to cover an area about 4' x 6'. Shapes are cute and not so small to worry about little mouths chewing on them. The color options could have been better (i purchased the pastel yellow set and thought the colors were a little strange all together) but other than that I'm very happy with my purchase.

The colors of this mat are super cute! I love how the animals pop out like a puzzle pieces. In terms of texture, the mat is soft enough for babies to crawl across, but also firm enough for hardwood flooring. Such a great purchase!

I really wanted this to be great. The puzzle idea does not stand up to 1year olds. They took the corners off immediately and started to chew them. Now the sides are coming no off and we have been on it for 5 days.

Our little one is expected at any point now. While we currently have carpet, my husband plans to make it a winter project to put in hardwood throughout our 1st floor. I thought this would be the perfect play mat for our kiddo once the hardwood is installed. WOW! I didn't realize how large this mat was! It's 6.5' X 6.5'. It's massive. Each tile is 2' X 2' and I'm actually thinking of only using 1/2 of the tiles at first until our little one grows and is large enough to need the full mat to play on. Each tile is interchangeable and the boarder are separate pieces.Best of all with this product is it's non-toxic. I had never heard of EVA material before so researched a little bit. From Wikipedia: "Ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA), also known as poly(ethylene-vinyl acetate) (PEVA), is the copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate. The weight percent vinyl acetate usually varies from 10 to 40%, with the remainder being ethylene. EVA is an elastomeric polymer that produces materials which are "rubber-like" in softness and flexibility. The material has good clarity and gloss, low-temperature toughness, stress-crack resistance, hot-melt adhesive waterproof properties, and resistance to UV radiation. EVA has a distinctive vinegar-like odor and is competitive with rubber and vinyl products in many electrical applications."Turns out a lot of EVA foam contain Formaldehyde; however, Foam Floors says their EVA is certified non-toxic, has No smell, No BPA, No Formaldehyde, No Lead, No Heavy Metals. Which puts me at ease to allow our little one to play on it. The foam it self is about 3/4" thick so it provides a nice cushion and support which will be perfect on our hardwood floors. The colors are cutesie being pastel which I don't generally prefer but if it serves its purpose well, I can overlook this.
