Lets talk about looks first. The walnut at first glance looks classy but look closer and the wood pattern is awful and not a very nice vinyl at all something you would find on very cheap furniture. Size these speakers are massive for a bookshelf class and the sound doesn’t match their volume size i just found they take over the room and really start to look ugly.Sound: well sound stage is goodish and details are crisp but thats it. Overall sound is like a race with no direction or finish line they just keep turning out noise theres no balance and become very annoying very quickly.Bass: its there but only kicks in at higher volumes then that also increases the highs which hurt your ears like symbols that go right through you.In a very very large room loud these might just sound ok if your not bothered about quality but if you want to sit back and relax forget it theres cheaper option far better than these

These speakers represent outstanding value for money. While they may not be as refined as much more expensive makes, you would probably need to spend £800 + to get any real improvement. They have a deep, crisp bass, an open, clear mid-range and a smooth high frequency. There are no outstanding annoyances anywhere on the audio scale and they make for a very pleasant listening experience.

Like to keep the review simple.Buy it.Sound quality is superb, sound stage is the best I have heard for £300.My ears thank me every day I listen to music.

Good sound good looking finish

Finally decided to upgrade and update my home theater system, I researched and used crutchfield advisor for the sound signature I wanted. I have 4 book shelf elac speakers with 2 front surround atmos speakers, powering these I have a denon avr s960h, I am using a 10 inch powered sub from polk. The most important thing for me was the speakers were neutral and didn't influence the sound, these speakers are just amazing, my music taste ranges from heavy metal to classical the sound reproduction is just incredible, the first 4k movie I watched was The Shawshank Redemption then Ford V Ferrari, I wish I could more accurately describe the depth of the sound stage and reproduction better than what I have written but suffice it to say I am absolutely impressed by the quality and build of these speakers. While the walnut option was a bit more pricey I was cognizant of this and see it as an investment, I really like the look of the walnut grain which matches the polk subwoofer.
