Recommended, but Definitely Read the Description
I've bought 2 in the past, they're well made for a working man, and I definitely recommend them. Most importantly, DO NOT BUY BY PANTS SIZE! If you have a way to measure your waist, do so before buying, or go by your usual size and add 4 to it. My usual pants size is a 34, but after measuring, my waist is a 38, so enough said. Other than that, I'd say they're still worth the buy, especially during the Summer.

Great kilt for the price
This kilt looks and fits great and the price is great for the quality. I looked around for a decent kilt but being my first I did not want to spend a fortune, but also wanted something nice. This is exactly what I was looking for, love it.

I LOVE my Kilt
I am a Kilt Convert, I've never owned or worn one, before, but of all the kilts I've ever worn, this one has to be the most well-designed. It has a couple side (cargo) pockets - perfect size for your overly large cell phone (and maybe some snacks too). Not only does it fit like a dream, but it also feels like you're wearing cozy clouds; who knew kilts could be so comfortable? I wound up wearing it the first time for 1/2 the day doing chores and working on cars....I didn't want to take it off!Honestly, after experiencing this kilt, I'm convinced that we need to make them a part of our everyday wardrobe. Imagine showing up to a job interview or a wedding in a sharp-looking kilt instead of stuffy slacks....I've yet to wear it in the summer, but i can imagine how wonderful the breeze feels....

Meh
I’m a tid bit annoyed, they say round up when you measure so I did. I’m a 35 so I went to a 36 this was large on me. I was on the smallest snap and still had room. I don’t plan on getting bigger in the waist. So I returned it and got a 34, now it feels too small. I’m on the largest snap with no room. Not sure if I want to return and try again. Or if I’m just wasting my time. I also bought a modern kilt in a 34 and it fits perfectly I love the way it feels. I wear a size 30 pants. If that helpful oh and it smells very strong! Much stronger than the 36 I bought.

THIS company knows how to make kilts!!!
So I just left a review for the kahki kilt I bought from another company here.... was my first kilt and it opened the door but I wasn't happy with the build quality. Decided to try this one from UTKilts and THEY KNOW HOW TO MAKE A KILT!!! Very comfortable and sturdy, love the extra snaps for adjusting the waist, and after buying this one on Amazon, have ordered 5 more directly from their site (way more options than here and was still able to do Amazon pay).Cannot recommend this company's kilts enough!!!!

Love the kilt but the color is not as pictured and wrong size was shipped
Wish the color was as pictured. Scottish National Weathered shows far more blue in the picture but is more of a grey. Don't really see the blue at all. Also shipped a 40 when I ordered a 42. Two Stickers on the packing, one says 40 amd the other 42... tag in the kilt says 40. Hope the replacement is the right size.

buy 2 sizes over jean size
I ordered yesterday and received it today. The fit if you get 2 sizes over your jeans, is amazing. This is highly adjustable with 9 possible combinations of snaps, and the two adjustable straps. I've paid 400 for handmade kilts from renaissance fairs and gotten less product for the money.I dig this kilt and foresee a lot of use of it this summer as it becomes too hot for shorts or pants.

Seems a good choice for my first kilt, and yeah size up!
First some fit notes: Defintely ere on the side of larger. I have a really slight build, 5'11" 155 lbs or so, 30" waist. I initially ordered the 32" going on sizing up 2" and the fact that I like a trim (not "relaxed") fit in pants. But for Kilts since they wrap around that's pretty much irrelevant. The 32" ended up being too small even on furthest button. With 34" I'm on the middle button -- the buttons and straps give a lot of room for adjustment, so I'd say going up 4" would be safe. I do wear it higher on my hips, while it compresses my stomach a bit it's actually helpful for posture and just seems to make sense. I like the length, one of the reasons I went with the UT over DNKE kilt. It's just above my knees but note I have relatively short legs / long torso.WRT objective stuff, the overall quality is quite good for the price I think. It seems to hold its shape well after wearing it for a few days and the pleats are crisp. The material is woven, not printed, which for me is a must. The colour is tasteful and overall gives an impression of quality. I can't say for sure but I think they will hold up to wear well.Subjective observations: Kilts are every bit as as awesome as I thought they would be! This probably isn't the perfect kilt for me, but I can see owing a number of them for different usages. I found that it was comfortable around 15C (sweater weather) but you def start to feel a draft. It's a bit warmer now, at around 25C (slightly too warm) I begin to wish for a lighter material. The material itself is a bit coarser than I'd like and just a bit too scratchy. I'm also not a fan of the clasps .. they are fiddly, and without them I could just unsnap the thing and be out of it in 5 seconds, try that with a pair of pants. Although come to think of it someone else could unsnap them too which wouldn't be good haha. I also find the pockets to be way bigger than I need, sort of in the way and detract from the lines. Looking forward to trying out one of the light weight more hiking oriented kilts out there. Unfortunately UTKilts doesn't ship their version to Canada so might try the DKNE..Overall, I'm loving this! My kids won't let me wear it around town ... never thought that I'd be the one lecturing my kids on inclusivity and gender norms, but that seems to be where we are lol ... but it is the perfect outdoor garment so I will def be taking it camping and sneaking out of the house when they aren't looking.

SO BEAUTIFUL!
This skirt is amazingly gorgeous, this flow tho!I love love LOVE it! I ordered two colours, based on the other reviews and I'm so glad I did. A classic case of 'you get what you pay for'. They also arrived much faster than I expected them to, within a week of ordering them. I'm extremely happy with this purchase :)

Very thin and short length
Most standard off the rack kilts are 24" length, but this is 22". That makes it a kilt for very short people or women as women can wear it as a skirt. The material is extremely thin so it hangs horribly and wrinkles easily. If I could give it zero stars I would. Not worth the money that's for sure.
