These are warm winter sox, but I wore them bicycling in 30 degree weather any my toes were pretty well frozen after an hour. So, much like my -30 sleeping bag, +20 is probably more realistic. Perhaps an hour at a possible 20 (with wind chill) is asking too much. But -30? Well, for 10 - 15 minutes, maybe.

I like thick merino wool socks for everyday work wear, but they can be expensive and not particularly long wearing. These have just the right blend of Merino wool and nylon for comfort and long wear and I wear them through all 4 seasons. Keeps feet warm in winter, cool in summer and dry all year long. The price is the best you will find in similar products- I know because I searched far and wide.

Bought these for hunting season. Tried them on and wore them for several hours with my boots. I'll say they certainly keptmy feet toasty in our current 90 degree weather. Whew boy!Seriously though, they look well made. They are definitely winter socks. Will update this in a couple months. Arrived quickly.

I bought these for below zero weather and they worked great for keeping my feet warm.

I have only worn them a few times, but these socks are very warm (coldest temperature experienced so far was -3F) and fit well.

I have 2 more pairs of these from 2 years ago, worn constantly. They are still great. Pricey, but worth every penny.

Nice socks, wash up nicely.

Great for being out in the cold making maple syrup.
