Brilliant!
I had the Primary-E before this and that was good enough! But I wanted a simpler way to play my 45’s and this is beyond perfect!!!Amazing deck and the sound is incredible! It’s really worth every penny!!!

Excellent for my elderly collection but keep an eye out for a bargain
Having not had access to a turntable for some 25+ years I thought it time to resurrect my LP collection.Previously I'd had a Michell Hydraulic with V15 cartridge & loved it for very many years, so although budget restrictions forbade me from going too high end I still needed a high quality sound whilst, of course, preserving my LP's from excess deterioration.I had purchased some active speakers earlier this year & a sub to augment them I needed a turntable with quality, an elliptical stylus, reasonably low tracking weight, a phono pre-amp & the reassurance of a brand with a good reputation.Even though the build quality is perhaps a little "delicate" & care is needed to use, it all appears OK.So it was with some nervousness I cleaned then played an old Taste LP, then some others also over 40 years old, but no fear - the sound was great!, no tracking issues, easy set up using the enclosed cables, the perfect time machine to take me back in the best possible way.But watch the price, I must've been on my "should've played the lottery" day to have got this £100 less than the usual asking price, it would have been worth this full price but keep your eye out for a bargain!

Sounds Great, Aesthetically Pleasing. Just a couple small issues.
While shopping for a new turntable my gf wanted to make sure I picked out something that was sleek and beautiful as it would be prominently displayed in our living room. This turntable is pretty. The design is understated and elegant. Now, the important stuff. The sound. It sounds great using the onboard phono preamp through my powered Klipsch "The Sixes" speakers. My jazz records come alive on this turntable and hip-hop sounds amazing. I have had a couple issues though. One, Pro-ject claims that there is no need to adjust the cartridge or counterweight but I am having trouble with the tonearm skating when it is initially lowered onto the beginning of my records. It often violently skips a few seconds into the first track of the recording. The other issue is that the spindle seems a little bit to big. Some of my records get stuck. I almost broke a copy of John Coltrane's "Giant Steps" trying to get it off of the turntable. Over-all I am happy with my purchase and have been really enjoying it.

Broken on arrival
Like another reviewer, the counter weight snapped off in shipping. This isn't a screw came loose kind of thing. The adhesive (epoxy, almost looks like solder?) broke loose and dinged up the table inside the box. The box was not damaged in any way.I get that reinstalled and switch it on only to find the motor won't turn. I take everything apart and find a pinched wire inside. Put it back together and everything seems to be good now.Really disappointing experience. It sounds great and looks great, but I clearly have some doubts as to how long this item will last. Also as others have noticed this is particle board disguised as walnut. It still looks great, but just another disappointing part. I was hoping for a much better experience based on the description and price tag of this turntable.I would return and try to buy another but the first one got lost and I have no faith a third one won't have something wrong with it.

Great first turntable
This is a great turntable. I'm a newbie when it comes to vinyle so the fact that this has a preamp is great. Was super easy to assemble out of the box, and so far everything I play on it sounds great. Paired with my Kantos I couldn't be happier.

Sounds great when it plays right
The sound quality is great, but without any adjustable anti-skate mechanism (something I wish I’d paid attention to before ordering), a few records will just not play properly (but do on friends player), and the needle often skids to the center of the platter after a side is finished.I’ve checked that my player is level and I even got a scale to measure the vertical tracking force. And I clean just about all my records first time playing, even new ones.
