This lamp is very attractive and has all the features I was looking for! It was incredibly easy to assemble (less than 5 minutes), it is small enough to fit even in tight places, and is very sturdy (the lamp base is not large, but it is heavy material that keeps the lamp steadily in place.) The lamp fixture conveniently comes with a nice light bulb and has an attractive black lampshade, accented with a brass top, and the light is wonderful for reading, studying-just about anything! I like the flexibility of the lamp, as it can be rotated up & down & 360 degrees. I liked the floor lamp so much that I bought 2 of them, and that’s why I gave it 5 stars & highly recommend it to anyone!

I am using this for my piano lamp. Great bright light for my aging eyes and in a non-glare off-white color so as to avoid eye strain even after several hours of intense piano playing. Very easy to put together with extra parts (so marked) in case of a problem (there were none). Looks quite elegant and I appreciate the on/off knob at the top rather than on the floor. Also like the adjustable head.

Just recently moved to a place that has no overhead lighting, so I picked one of these up for the side of my couch! I threw a smart bulb in it and really love the look of it. I liked it so much that I ended up buying another one for the other side of my couch.I also really love that they give you a couple extra pieces to adjust the height if needed. That being said, they are thin metal tubes, which works just fine for me. But if you have crazy animals or children, I'd be careful with these as they could easily bend or fall over. Just be careful and you'll be fine :) They look great!

This lamp is surprisingly very cute! I was looking for a basic lamp that wouldn’t stand out and would be versatile without breaking the bank, and this one is great. The base of the stand is surprisingly heavy, so I feel like the lamp is quite sturdy. The top of the shade gets a little hot, but that’s hardly anything to worry about. The chord does hang out if you adjust the lamp to be taller, but I used little pieces of black Velcro (you can probably also use tape or zip ties) to keep it trim and it’s not noticeable to all.I will say, the lightbulb that mine came with is SO cool toned it’s alarming - I already ordered new bulbs to replace it, so just be ready to do that. The one it comes with would be great for someone doing color sensitive work like painting etc, but it’s a bit unsettling for a calm living room.

Great illumination, very easy to assemble, looks great, kind of modern and kind of retro all in one look.And they generously provide a chrome extender so you have the option of making it taller.I jusr wish there were some way to expand the pedestal, the base, as well.I’ve tipped it over a dozen times in 5 weeks.

The manufacturer includes an extra tube which they note is to be used for stripped threads. This is a telltale sign from the moment you open the box that you are in for trouble. The machining of their threads is poor quality. The worst element is the 'gold rod' which has a different proportional tolerance that the other rods. It is slightly thinner. This results with a weak link in the structure. The lamp bows at the joints where the 'gold rod' is used. The company might have used this rod for decoration purposes (accent), but they force you to use it based on the threading. The product is very cheap quality. It is 'Made in China' and has all the hallmarks of poor quality design and low quality fabrication. This lamp will not last under any normal use. Manipulating the lamp a handful of times will result with it bending/breaking in a short period of time. This is a "throw away" purchase. I recommend you look for something else as this product will infuriate you and make you feel as I do - that I was cheated.

I only had a large lamp with an 'upward' light covering that area. Sturdiness is good, but having (crazy) pets, I like it almost 'bolted' down to prevent them from knocking it over.
