MAM Original Colours of Nature Soother 0+ (Owl and Flower), Baby Soother Set for Newborns, MAM Soother Pack with Woodland Designs, Baby Soother Pack with MAM Teats

My LG is 3 months old and has been using these dummies since birth. Size 0+ which Mam claim fits up to 6months. Tonight she was in her Moses basket and in the room with me. Somehow she managed to turn the dummy round so the teat was facing out the way and the circular part with the design was facing in. She then sucked it in (as she would with a dummy) and it got stuck round her lips. She couldn’t get it out. Luckily she managed to let out a high pitched scream which made me run over and check her, and I saw what had happened. Her face was bright red and she was throwing her arms around I tried to pull the dummy out her mouth, and eventually managed but there was so much suction that it actually was stuck and took a lot of force from me to get it out!! She was so upset and cried hysterically after. I’m just so glad that she managed to make a noise because if she hadn’t, I dread to think what would have happened. The dummies have small holes round the outside of them and I assume that’s a safety thing, but unfortunately these were no help as her mouth was stuck round the circle, the holes are too far out. I will of course be in touch with Mam about my concerns but wanted to post my review here so that other parents were aware before purchasing.

1) the plastic part is shaped in such a way that it touches the nose - this could be rather uncomfortable for the little one!2) water easily gets into the inner part of the teat but can not be easily removed from there (in comparison to other brands)3) if you want to use a cord with it you have to buy the one from MAM (other cords are compatible with any pacifiers with rings)I didn't realise this all until I purchased pacifiers from other good brands (but cheaper).

I keep giving Mam the benefit of a doubt but their products keep letting me down!The boxes can't be microwaved - they melt,Then when I try sterilising fluid instead the dummy teats fill up and I end up having to squeeze them (compromising the sterile nature) and the bottle teats I have had have blocked! The problem is my baby loves the dummies and the glow in the dark feature is fantastic... I just have such trouble with the products, they just keep failing me.

Lovely design

Good quality and sturdy. Unfortunately my breastfed baby refused them even though he takes their bottles. I gave them to a friend and their baby absolutely loves them
