Approximately 1/14 inches from the floor, the alpena fireplace body insets 3/4 of an inch all the way around the base providing a seemingly floating appearance. The alpena design features 2 panels of tempered glass supported by 8 low profile stainless steel cylinders whose purpose is to float the 2 glass panels 3/4″ off the face of fireplace. The 4 sides of the interior chamber are finished by lining them with brushed stainless steel panels. This fireplace is designed to be placed anywhere in the room as it is see through from each direction from each angle and finished on all sides. Alpena is the classic multiple room fireplace design with a modern free standing twist.

This is an AMAZING PURCHASE! This is a beautifully made fireplace. I have a few made by other manufacturers that cost over $1.5. This is a very good looking piece at a GREAT price. I love this fireplace!!!!
