This seems like a handy kit for a quick clean up but I noticed that the rod appears to be .17. The rod terminates in a male end and the brushes and mop have female ends. That's the reverse of typical cleaning kits where rods terminate as female and the brushes, mops and jags are male. Since this is a .17 (5/40 thread) rod not sure if I will easily be able to find replacement cleaning ends. Seems to me some sort of adapter would be needed to use standard accessories (8/32 thread). Maybe its just me. I never had a need for a .17 rod so that may be just the way it is. Anyway, it works and I will use it.

Compact and easy to use

I didn't receive everything in the picture. The bottom of the plastic part had a misaligned screw in point, I couldn't even use it. Looking on the internet I found this same item for $2 somewhere else.

The brushes and mop alone are worth the price. All of the pieces are of high quality fit and finish and thread nice and tight. The tube doubles as a cleaning handle and storage. I was happy to discover that the handle connecting rod rotates as a bonus!

This is very well made and works great. Better that th 20 gauge cleaning kit I got

Small and mighty does the job

The container for this kit is a little larger than a 12 gauge magnum shotgun shell. The tools are handly for the most common pistol calibers and are long enough for most barrel length.There's a mop brush and a brass brush but no room for cleaning patches, solvent or oil. So it is mainly for a quick cleaning, not for long term are. You'll need a more complete kit for that.The cap is press-fit and fits pretty tightly now. It should continue to work OK.It will get the job done for field use.
