Product description Review: Works fine, reads correctly. - Installed easily and fit like original. A little shorter harness but that's okay, less to wind up and zip tie (still plenty long). Works fine, and cleared failure indication. Temperature calibration was correct. Others have indicated issues and recommend getting an OEM unit. I did that last year and that one failed this year. So I'll see how this one holds up. It's in a single piece, deep drawn, stainless tube, which should be good. Review: Easy to replace - Seems to be working well

Worked great
I was getting a โSNSโ error on my MODEL P-R336A-EN-C Raypack Spa/Pool heater. So I ordered this temperature sensor to replace mine. Please note that you will likely also need to order a Raypack 006714F Sensor Adaptor Digital Electric. The temperature sensor mounts in the sensor adapter. My old temperature sensor was so corroded that it was impossible to remove from the existing sensor adapter without damaging the sensor adapter. If the sensor adapter is damaged, it will leak. The temperature sensor easily slides into the sensor adapter and I followed the Raypack instructions that shipped with the sensor adapter to install the temperature sensor/sensor adapter into the heater with no issues. When I turned on the heater, the gas burner fired up with no issues.

Good Replacement Sensor for Raypak
My unit is a 1 year old 266A Raypak heater. The original temperature sensor started showing a too high temp, a sure sign it has gone bad. I saw no reason to spend 5 times more for a "real" raypak sensor since my factory installed "real" one only lasted a year! I guessing that both the "raypak" sensor and this one are made in the same factory in China, so why pay more for it? I removed the raypak sensor, which looked brand new (because it is). No sign of any water imbalance, its simply a falulty part. I put in for a raypak warranty replacement, but they did not get back with me & its easy and cheap enough to not deal with them anyway. There are youtube vids on how to replace this part if you need it...but its pretty straight forward. One note...the sensor is in a plastic housing part that screws into the water intake inside the unit. You don't need to unscrew the entire part...just the compression nut on the top part. The sensor will just pull right out, then replace with the new one...press it fully into the housing and tighten the compression ring back to finger tight...don't over tight this part. Unless your unit is very old and the white plastic sensor housing part is falling apart, it should not need to be replaced along with temperature sensor. Run the pump once you have the sensor in place leaving the side panel open so you can check for leaks (but have the power off before you unplug the old and plug in the new sensor to the main board). If you have a leak that you cant stop you might need to replace the white housing for the sensor...but I doubt you will need to replace it. In any case, once replaced the temp reading once again showed the correct water temperature. I don't know how long it will last...but it only has to last a year to beat the Raypak one from the factory!

Fits Raypak Digital Cupro-Nickel Propane 266,000 BTU
This perfectly fit and repaired my Raypak Digital Cupro-Nickel Propane 266,000 BTU pool heater. I was getting a sensor error and after looking up the code this sensor was the likely culprit. We had just experience two back to back hurricanes in Florida and it was possible that electrical surges may have damaged the sensor somehow. After taking a few screws off the housing and threading this sensor, I kicked it back on and worked perfectly. Note there is a housing on the existing sensor that is not included in this purchase. I was able to use the original one. Itโs a really snug fit so removing it and fitting this sensor into it may seem incompatible at first, but it does fit.

Not compatable with my RayPak R406A Gas Fired Spa Heater
It works, but the sensor specifications is not compatible with the RayPak electronics. The RayPak displays a temperature which is exactly 27 deg F lower than my pool water reading. I could not let the RayPak control my spa in the local mode. Luckily, my pool equipment uses the RayPak heater in the Remote mode. My pool equipment turns on and off the Rapak heater remotely using the pool equipment temperature sensor. So this works for me for now. But cannot test or run the heater in RayPak local mode. (If is set the RayPak heater to 90 degrees, I assume my spa would go to 117 deg F. I expect the RayPak high temp sensor will trigger before it gets to 117 deg F) So I plan to replace this Temperature with a Genuine rayPak Factory OEM part as soon as I have time to do so. This part came with a Diagnostic Readouts Table showing its resistor values for different temperatures. A quick test of the part shows that I get the correct resistance for temperature per this table. But I expect that the calibration curve table is different than the OEM part. So I plan get the Genuine RayPak OEM Temp sensor, I plan to compare it with this Amazon purchased part. I will update this review if my assumption is wrong. So I do not recommend this part at this time.

It works but really for 2 seasons max
Bought for my pool heater Replaced myself - a very easy job if you have 30 minutes spare (turn off all the pool water valves, easy removal and then click in to the back of your led display).. to be fair I did this 2 years ago. Gets a 4 as only seems to last 2 seasons max - Iโm removing this for winter this time $20 versus $500 fitted by my pool company :-)))

Replacement temperature sensor for Raypak model 336a pool heater fixed the problem!
Replacement temperature sensor for Raypak model 336a pool heater fixed the problem! This was an easy do it yourself job that took less than an hour to get my pool heater working again when the SENS error code showed on the front lcd display. The price was a quarter of the price being charged by the OEM part from the dealer.

A quarter of the price you were likely quoted
Phenomenal. I was quoted 4 times this price by the local pool shop. It does exactly as it supposed to and was an easy fix.
