Excellent Purchase!
The package arrived quickly, and it was very lightweight, but it was very easy to assemble (the directions are minimal, but it is easy to figure out), and I LOVE this product! Not only will it hold nine guitars, but it can be folded (roughly, in half) in case you want to bring this to gigs. Despite the light weight, it is well built and durable, and it looks very professional. When screwing in the divider guitar support posts at the top, I used a little WD40, and on two of the posts I had to use pliers, but the others screwed right in by hand. Be careful not to force the screws, or to rush the process. I assembled it in about twenty minutes...and I was taking my time. This is a great product that is relatively inexpensive and it does just what it is supposed to do. Thank you!

Fits my needs
I picked this up to replace a 5 slot stand I had purchased at Guitar Center many years ago. This one is not as heavy duty as the one I but it should work for my needs and was probably half the price. I purchased knowing this was a budget stand and I will probably never move it but i seems more than sturdy enough for my zero traffic area. It doesn't seem like it would get knocked over easily. My main concern so far is that I think I'd prefer if I had a bit more clearance between my guitars so I can minimize the chances of bumping them together. I just set it up so maybe I'll find a better order for my guitars to fit optimally. I knew it wasn't as wide as other 7 guitar holders but I chose to pick one up that would fit my space better.

Functional yet not too expensive
The good news is this rack functions as it should and is value priced. The bad news is some design and material compromises were made to get to the price point. The metal tubing is adequate but not heavy duty. As for the sturdiness, it does have a bit of wobble but should be fine as long as you don't abuse it. If you plan to set it up and leave it in place it works fine. The foam padding is good quality. The foam on the top rail is split to accommodate the spacers and they used plastic tape to hold it together which is probably my biggest concern. It can hold up to 7 guitars assuming they are all relatively thin. If you are using it for acoustics or fat hollowbody guitars it would hold less. Overall I'm happy with it.

Great for home use, not for touring.
Very easy to install (comes in a few large parts), sturdy, simple design that protects even nitro finishes! I have high end Fender Custom Shops and PRS Custom core guitars with very delicate nitrocellulose finishes and never an issue with this stand. Any nitro finish is soft so if overly concerned, put a microfiber towel down under the guitar touch points. It sits up nicely on any floor, even carpet, but realize your guitars will lean into this unit so allow a little space behind it if against a wall. It hold electrics and acoustics of most shapes and sizes, but note it is not easily adjustable. If you use each slot, your guitars will be snug so use care pulling in and out as there are no dividers except up near the headstock. I saw a few questions about portability or using at gigs....this is NOT designed to be taken down and transported to gigs or tough enough for the road. They make other portable versions of these that are sturdier and collapse down into a suitcase size portable case for gigs. For the price paid, this is a good value and nice product to leave in a music room or practice studio. It is of good quality but don't expect high end at this price. If you plan to treat this rough or move it often, this might not be the product for you. I managed to rid my practice space of 8 individual guitar stands and now every guitar is in one small area against a wall looking very professional. I highly recommend it!

Complete and Utter Junk. This doesn't even meet bare minimum requirements.
I thought that since this is an Amazon choice, it can't be that bad, but I was so dead-wrong. The only thing this has going for it is price, but if I knew it would be this bad I would have shelled out money on something nicer (not to mention the fact that I got this ON SALE). The quality of parts is awful. The metal is dented and dinged, the plastic hole covers fall out, the foam on the top is TAPED shut (pictured) , and the foam has indents as if it had things stacked on it prior to my purchase (pictured) . I also removed one of the foam pieces to find RUST on the metal! (pictured). That's unacceptable. The assembly instructions are awful. They give you a bag of bolts, nuts, screws, and washers. No tools are provided so you better have TWO sockets (and ratchets) available for assembly. The instructions are a diagram that labels the parts. No step-by-step, but luckily it's not that complicated. After that, the first thing you'll notice is that the first screws you install just stick out (pictured) . They are screwed into the metal bar with no hole on the other end to go into, just right into the metal. If you tighten too much I'm sure you'll bend it. Second, you'd notice that the upper part that holds the neck leans way too far back. I had to remedy this by putting the folded-up instructions under the joint (as pictured) to hold it at the proper angle. Lastly, for something that is supposed to be "Heavy Duty", its pretty dang flimsy. It wobbles if you tap it with your finger. Oh and also, it's not high enough off the ground to hold my flying V guitar. If you have a flying V, DO NOT BUY. Actually... even if you don't have a flying V you shouldn't buy this. Get something better. Your instruments deserve it. It would cost more in gas and time to return this piece of trash then to just throw it where it belongs. Thanks for scamming me.

If you love your Guitars....get a real guitar stand!
I knew this was a cheap stand when I ordered it....and I got so much less than I expected. Where to start...the foam tubing on the lower supports is 6 inches too short. The guitars don't rest all the way to the end but this the ultimate of designing to a price-point. The screws that attach the lower support bars to the uprights are incredibly small...I'm going to the hardware store to replace them with something with more meat. Rusty parts hidden by foam. The upper crossbar wouldn't fit on the uprights for three reasons, 1) big burrs inside the tubing, 2) they were bent past 90 degrees so wouldn't line up and 3) the tube ends weren't even round. 10 minutes in the garage fixed all that but why? This will never leave my loft and it does give me access to all my guitars without have to dig into cases and gig bags so it meets the bare minimum requirements for a guitar stand. Do yourself a favor and spend more to get a much better stand.

Does it's job.
For the 7 guitar version: It works. Easy assembly (although the instructions, which is just a diagram could have been a little better). Sturdy enough for just sitting in your practice room and holding your guitars. I wouldn't trust it too last long on the road, but I don't think that is what it is made for. Padded well. The Amazon information shows that it is 20.9 inches wide but it is actually 33.75 inches wide. So can it fit 7 guitars? Theoretically. In any case you have a little less than 33.75 inches to fit them in. The Amazon product information shows that it is foldable but the advertisement that appears later on the screen does NOT show this. For the record it IS foldable which is important if you want to pack it for moving.

It's a budget stand but it's solid for home use.
Some of these reviews had me worried but I figured for the price it was worth trying and it ended up being one of the best purchases I've made as far as music equipment goes. I wouldn't take it on tour or anything but it's great for having at home. It was easy to put together, it's fairly sturdy, the padding is solid and protects the guitars body and neck, it's a great price, and it's convenient if you have multiple guitars. I've not run into any of the issues some of the other negative reviewers have. Don't stand on it or use it as a support structure and it'll serve you just fine. The guitars lean back at a good angle and don't ever feel like they'll fall off or forward, even if if the stand was shook or bumped into. It says it holds 7 guitars and that's true if they're all solid body guitars, larger hollow bodies and acoustics will take up two spaces. Right now I have a Strat, a Jaguar, an Epiphone LP Special II, and a 12 string acoustic on mine and I could easily fit another two electrics or one other acoustic. The spacing between the guitars is also pretty close, I think it could do with a about 2-3 more inches between the pegs, but as long as you're even the slightest bit careful when you take them out and put them away you won't have any issues with them bumping into each other.

Good value guitar stand.
Not sure I would want to move this about much or hold 7 guitars in it but perfect for my needs.

It holds 6 guitars and 1 bass guitar
From how it looks its sturdy enough to carry 6 electric guitars and 1 bass guitar. The foam at the bottom couldve been full length but it has a bit of a gap in the middle. For the price id say its a steal
