A Comfortable and Absorbent Pad to Keep You Dry
Using an adult diaper in the summer can be uncomfortable. Many diapers have sides or wings that don't breathe causing sweaty hips and upper thighs. If you need the protection of an adult diaper without the sides, try the Abri-San Premium Pads in Size 11. They are a very large pad that has padding that is the same width and length as the medium Abena Abri-Form M4 adult diaper. This pad weighs 155 grams vs. 175 grams for the Abena M4. Abena call these pads part of a two piece system, as it is meant to be used with their snug fitting washable pants or in a pinch could probably be used with snug fitting underwear. It is a bit of a learning curve to apply the product to the body and takes some adjustment to get the pad to settle into the groin in position to protect you. There is a bit of bulk between the legs that takes some getting used to at first. If you are used to a thicker standard diaper, it will feel familiar in fit, but if you are coming from a store brand of bladder control pad or protective underwear, it may feel too bulky to wear comfortably. The good news is that the Abena Abri-San line of pads comes in 14 sizes/absorbancy levels, so you should be able to find a product that fits your level of bladder incontinence. There is even an Abri-San pad made just for people who have bowel incontinence that has deep side pockets down the entire length to keep everything safely contained. The outer cover is breathable and fabric like, so they are quiet when you are moving around while wearing them. The inner liner is very smooth and soft to the touch, similar in feel to cotton undies. The pad is fairly thick and hourglass shaped with wider padding at the rear. There are elastic leg gathers at the center of the pad and leak guards that run lengthwise along the entire pad. The absorbency is rated the same as the Abri-Form M4 diaper, but I find I leak a bit more at the legs in these pads because I cant get the same snug fit as I can with a traditional tape-on diaper. The pad can also shift a bit to one side and this can increase leaks at the legs. For this reason, I would not recommned them at night if you have heavy leakage or are an active sleeper. What they excel at is keping the area that they cover cooler, especially around the hips. I sweat much less when I wear these instead of a diaper. They are definitely comfortable to wear and remain comfortable as they are used for their intended purpose. They do swell as they fill with urine, but the inner surface still feels dry to the touch and keeps the skin dry even when they are full. I would definitely recommend them for summer use or for times when you need less bulk at the hips, such as when wearing dress pants. If you are looking for an alternative to a diaper and need the absorbency of a diaper for heavy bladder leakage, give these a try. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Great at stopping leaks but horrible about staying in place
I have a love/hate feeling about these Abri-San Premium 6 pads. They are much wider and longer than any other pad I have seen. There is elastic along the edges of the water resistant fabric that serves to form a cup-like shape that holds liquid in until it is absorbed. This is the unique feature that lets them keep me so much dryer than any other pads. The thing that I REALLY, REALLY hate is that there is NO ADHESIVE STRIP!!!. The manufacturer seems to believe they will just magically stay in place! I have news for them. They fold over in the front, fold over in the back, bunch up in the crotch, and slide down your leg!! When they slide around like this, liquid spills out defeating the wonderful elastic sides. I finally ordered really strong 1" wide double-stick tape that use to anchor them to my underwear. This works, but why in the heck don't they just put an adhesive strip on these great pads?????

These are great and save me lots of washing.
This is my first incontinence product. A herniated disc in my lower back has caused progressive bladder issues so unfortunately, I had to eventually find something for severe sleep accidents. I personally appreciate the generous width and length. Better safe than sorry and I don't find them uncomfortable at all, they are very soft and flexible. It doesn't disturb my sleep at all. A very sudden gush from a full bladder with a lot of urine will generally run off the back/front if you stand up or move too fast, but I am overall satisfied. I will definitely order again. I also have very heavy menstrual bleeding and they work super for that purpose. I have missed how they used to make these supersize pads for periods since I went off my Depo shot and my periods came back with a vengeance. No more stained sheets or clothes with this product! They have superior odor protection as well.

Ridiculously huge for absorbency
I bought these because of the increased stated capacity to replace the pads (1400 ml)by another company.I absolutely love the quality and absoorbency of Abena Abri Flex incontinence underwear but these Abena pads are a disappointment !These pads are HUGE! Yes I read the dimensions but it didn't register. The width far exceeds that of the Abri Flex underwear. And why can't Abena include adhesive backing?Overall I recommend but do be aware of the size.

Disappointed
I have been buying this product for over a year and the absorbency rate Was amazing!!But now they are not doing the same job of absorbing.. It seems that the padding has gotten thinner. Definitely am disappointed in them.

Abri•San product quality is slipping.
With the past few bags of pads, I’ve notice pads with holes in them, stuffing gaps, edges not sealed, and padding falling out. One pad only had stuffing in the top 25% and rest was just the thin covering (twisted and torn). I have photos. What used to be one of the highest quality pads on the market, needs some serious product inspection prior to packaging. I sure the company addresses the problem as they are still my favorite go to pads (sizes 3, 4, and 9). When made without flaws, they are 5+ stars! Their fit and design prevent leaking and the numerous sizes address whatever is needed for protection. Larger size pads work well for UTIs. Note: Sizes 7&8 can’t be mailed to states with Prop 65. But the size 9 is beneficial in this regard.

Better than Tena
Comfortable and a good fit with pants. Leaked a bit a couple of times when I first got them, but that may have been my fault not fitting them quite right. A pack is definitely not a month's supply as stated by some sellers. The only problem I had was that the pack itself was split on one side and the outer cardboard packing crushed, probably the fault of the courier company rather than the seller.

Value for money
I have had a prostate operation and now suffer from occasional drip. I tried these pad mainly because of the price. wife also suffers from involuntary inconstancy. she also tried these pads and found them adequate for the job. Pads are of a rectangular shape of about 2"x5" so suitable for both sexes. Why not 5*? You have to keep your own pants pulled right up against your body to make sure the pad doesn't miss the drip.

Worth a try!
I purchase these for my Nana. They are the best we have found. Have tried a range of other sizes but I think the largest is the best and safest option for her. She has no complaints. Price is good for what you get!

NO ADHESIVE....BEWARE!
Shape....100%Absorbency.....100%Security.....100%Comfort....100%Ease of use/ application ....ZERO!I was using AbriSan 4a pads for some time. Best I had ever come across! Amazon replaced them with size 4, which are not big enough, or absorbent enough, nor do they have the inner security barrier necessary for heavy urine loss.Amazon are no longer listing 4a, so after reading customers questions and answers, ordered one pack of size 5.What a severe and wholly frustrating disappointment! Absolutely what I would hope for, EXCEPT that there is no way of attaching them to lie flat in my briefs..ie NO ADHESIVE STRIP!I am a ordinary woman, who happens to be severely urinarily incontinent, not an inhabitant of hospital or a care home, having to have disposable ( and wasteful) ill-fitting and uncomfortable pants put on me!PLEASE START SUPPLYING AMAZON WITH SIZE 4A AGAIN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!(i am unable to return the size5, as I have used 2pcs)By the way, this review was given on 9th July 2021, NOT May 2020 !
