Easier clean up.

Although these handle the heat well, they are difficult to get clean as the “honeycomb” ridges are very small and no matter how well I wash and rinse them, they seem to end up with a white residue in the honeycombs. Super annoying and would not buy again. I keep them out of sight or keep one in the microwave in event I need to remove something hot without handles.

This sits in the microwave while you cook. If something spills/overflows the raised hexes keep it from getting all over. It also works as an "oven mitt" to lift hot items. Rinse off in the sink.

This looked just like the one I was given, which I really like. I bought this to give to my friend, and was disappointed that it is only half as thick. However, I think it will still work for many purposes. I mainly use mine as a microwave mat, but have used it as a splatter guard in the microwave and as a "pot holder" to take things out of the microwave. Other suggestions are a trivet, utensil rest mat, drying mat and jar opener.
