Hooke Road Tacoma Overland Bed Rack w/Tonneau Cover Adapters(6 Brackets) for Toyota Tacoma 2005-2023 2nd 3rd Gen Truck

Got the kit today. Took me an hour to put it together by myself. All bolts, nuts, washers were there. Easy to figure out how it goes together. I would have needed a magnifying glass to read the instructions if I actually needed them. The instructions reference parts designated by letter, but nothing has letters on it. No big deal. Too bad I can't install it without the brackets.Update: got the brackets the following day after contacting the seller. They should state this in the listing.Got it installed on the truck, once again by myself. The hardest part was getting it even and level by myself. I improvised using my cargo bar and a pry bar to move it around.I've already gotten quite a few compliments on it. Overall, pretty happy with it.

Rack showed up in great shape, no damage to the powder coating. Easy to assemble but the instructions were horrible. Started off giving the wrong sized tools needed. Included instructions made little sense. Saving grace was to scan the QR code and use those instructions witch were different, better, and you could zoom in on the pictures. I was missing two parts; one lock washer and nylon lock nut. I ran down to the store and matched up what I needed to finish the job. I know I could have had Hooke send me what I needed but there is no way I was going to wait for that.Over all a good product and feels very sturdy.

I had this in my cart for two years before pulling the trigger. Takes a few hands to do up all the bolts and pieces but it works and fits well. If you want to do the toneu cover on the raised one like I did then it will have to be a roll top Velcro. Had to finesse mine to fit. Will post pictures eventually. Also works well to stabilize the bed which I was not anticipating. Saves you $80 on those brackets.

This rack is garbage. After 2 hours putting it together go to load it on the truck and it won’t fit the 22-23 models with the Toyota trifold hard cover as stated.So now I’m stuck or take it apart to return.

originally I bought these for a 2021 Toyota Tacoma TRD off-road with the factory Tonna cover which is a trifold.Upon receiving both packages as described all the product items and everything were there. After some assembly which is expected not too bad just a little tedious takes a long time construction seems good and solid and expected little nicks here in there from shipping but overall happy.after bringing it out to the truck and trying to figure out how to install it with the Factory toyota Tonna cover. I came to the conclusion that this will not work without heavy modifications to the brackets. They do indeed make a bracket for a third GEN Tacoma but the ones that are advertising shipped with us or for the second GEN.I have hung onto the racks in anticipation of them re-releasing the third GEN brackets once I see the third brand jackets again I will order and re-upload photos for this review. But as this order sits right now it does not fit my truck and is a bit of a disappointment. The quality and everything else if it fit my truck would have been perfect. But the advertisement says that it fits a 2021 Tacoma with factory Tonna cover, and it did not.I did mount a smittybilt tent, The brackets and hardware that came With the Rooftop tent are not long enough to accommodate this rack. So I drilled and tapped the hook Road rack to allow for the factory bolts from the rooftop tent to slide into the holes and then we both directly onto the rack. I have driven about 100 so miles on the highway everything has been fine periodically checking the hardware and everything has been great. Once I get the correct adapter brackets for this I will post another review with photos and video

I really love how my truck looks with this rack. Easy to install once you understand the instructions bc they are a bit confusing but overall it’s not that hard. 5 stars, great material!

The rack was easy to install. Instructions are not the best but helpful. I installed by myself in about 1.5 hours. I did not install on the ground first. I assembled each cross bar and placed on the truck then connected with the other side and top pieces then secured to the bed.FYI - if you ordered the tonneau cover adapters, they come in a separate box, possibly on a different day. Mine arrived the day after the rack arrived.Love the look and functionality.

Fits perfect had all its parts and screws strong sturdy added the spacers to have a roll up cover witch raised the rack just out of view while looking back hour and a half install only issues are the mounting holes give very little to mount stuff this stuff is so solid I can’t get my standard metal drill bit to Pierce the metal but trust me I will find a way for the price it’s way worth it! Will show pics and write a comment when I add a tent to it 4 stars due to the mounting hole
